Sorry for beeing a newb, - but we got a start somewhere right???

I have just finished D2 in Normal and are now playing Tristam again and again in NM.
After I switched to max + in magic find I found set items 4 times in a row.
Then I went on to the countess and have done everything except Andariel in act 1.
But now when I go back to Tristram I don't get any set items anymore (3 times in a row).

Was I just unbelievable lucky in the beginning (my + magic find only amount to around 80%)?
Am I just unbelievable unlucky now?
Or does the chance lower as my character gains exp?

Could it be because one of the items I found was a nice bill - which does the job a lot faster the before???

I think I saw a calculator for this on the net once. And it didn't ask for my level, how good my equipment was etc, - which could suggest that it was just luck and/or unluck.

    Please comment.

+100% mf doesnt mean youll find magic items 100% of the time. Its like this:

    [TH="bgcolor: #1A0303"]Magic Find[/TH] [TH="bgcolor: #1A0303"]Rare Find[/TH] [TH="bgcolor: #1A0303"]Set Find[/TH] [TH="bgcolor: #1A0303"]Unique Find[/TH]
    50 46 45 41
    100 85 83 71
    200 150 142 111
    300 200 187 136
    400 240 222 153
    500 272 250 166
    750 333 300 187
    1000 375 333 200
Thats taken from the Diablo Wiki.

I guess you were just lucky! And the first time you kill a boss, for example Andariel, you get additional item drops.

EDIT: Fyi, most players settle for 200+mf. Myself, I build 1 mf char, a sorc, which usually ends up with at least 550 mf. (currently has 607)
