I played a bit of the game at release, but didn't really get into it, but I decided to give it another shot now. Since I have forget 90% of what I picked up on last time I deleted 3 of my 4 chars(all deleted was below lvl 15) and made a new char, Wizard.

First thing i notice is that I start with just over 20k gold. I have a rather big stash(took me quite some time to realize I paid multiple time to expand it (next expansion is on 100k). It was also half full with items and I was able to craft lvl 27 items with artisan crafting, at lvl 2.

I know I can start over if I start at the American or Asian servers, but then I won't be able to chat with my friends while playing. Is it some way to reset the game? I have no ownership relation to my old chars since it's so long ago and would rather start fresh again, while still staying on the European servers. Is that possible?

On another note. Several of my skills says xx% of weapon dmg. Does that mean that if i pick up a sword or crossbow with higher base dmg, I would do more dmg then with a wand? That sounds a bit weird for a spell caster.

You can always email blizz about it.

About the wep dmg, think of it as "THE DEEP ENCHANTMENTS IN THE WEAPON COURSE THROUGH YOUR CHARACTER, INCREASING YOUR POWER LEVEL".

Oh can we actually do that? I think for them it's better not to help you to make you buy another copy.

That would be great though if they could do that. Rerolling and starting fresh was one of those things I liked to do in D2 sometimes.

Buying another copy would never even cross my mind. I tried playing on the american servers for a little while, but not only was my friends not there, no one else was there either (Guess they was working or at school, since it would be early in the day for them).

So I reverted back to playing on the European servers again. Sold most of the stuff in the stash, only kept a few particular good low lvl items and a little crafting materials(the low lvl dust and the one that look like a big tooth). I guess some money spent on a bigger stash and on advancing the blacksmith and JC to higher lvls isn't to big a deal.

You can always start up in hardcore. That would give you a fresh start relative to crafting and stash size.
