    Physical resistant mobs?

A few classes have this problem, as usual, just thought I'd look at the options for the DH. Obviously, having some elemental damage on our weapons is on option, but what about skills?

-Hunger Arrow (Cinder): 160% fire damage over 5 seconds...32% damage per second, not going to be too effective.

-Evasive Fire (Backup Plan): 115% poison + 510% aoe poison. That's more like it, and a rune that I could support for regular play as well.

-Bola Shot (any): Not my favorite skill, but at least it covers this need. At 264% this will be the most effective option when runed.

-Entangling Shot (Electrified Chain): 64 damage over 2 seconds. Probably needs updated to % weapon damage, jury is out on this one, but entangling has much better runes...

-Grenades (any): Same camp as bola, not seeming too popular so far.

-Spike Trap (lightning rod): 150% 10 chain lightning. Not bad, but it's more AoE focused than single target.

-Impale (Liquid Flame): 275% fire damage (137.5%/second). Perhaps the most popular choice, but takes away the option of the crit build.

-Elemental Arrow (all but gold): 160% at best, but it's spamable.

-Chakram: Not the most common choice yet either. Looks like it has potential with some runes, could be a good efficient aoe skill at 15 hatred cost.

If they allow in combat switching, you'll probably want to not worry about physical resist mobs at all and just do a switch to elemental or bola when you see one. If you want to plan ahead though, your best bet, without damaging your build for this one concern, is probably Impale or Evasive Fire. Maybe this makes a good argument for Bola (Doom runed) as a regular skill though?

If they have mobs with double immunity in Inferno I'm going to cry. If they're just physically immune, I can find quite a few skills to deal with them, although killing them won't be as easy for the DH of course.

My choice would be Boomerang Chakram for 240% weapon damage as lightning, which may be 480% weapon damage if it hits a second time on the loopback (or 960% damage if both chakram can hit twice).

My choice would be party with a wizard or witch doctor...

Added chakram to OP. There are no immune mobs in D3, only resistant mobs. Would you carry chakram for normal play? I think most will be using Multi for AoE, but chakram might be a good option for a lesser hatred cost.

EDIT: Just wanted to mention that although there are no immune mobs, assuming Inferno difficulty is truly as challenging as they claim I doubt that just spamming physical damage through physical resist mobs will be a great option.

Fire/Lightning/Cold/Poison Immunities are still in the game according to this thread (this data might be old and removed): http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=811769

I believe they said no double immunities but it is possible we will see these single immunities.

This is my rough DH build at the moment (a lot probably will change with the DH before release): http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#WSbgZd!UXW!YZbccb

I plan on using Chakram as often as possible.

    Re: Physical resistant mobs?

Just curious, why have Multi Shot if Chakram is your primary damage/AoE?

Edit: Jumpy, if true, that complicates things quite a bit for some of the other classes. Thanks for the link.

    Re: Physical resistant mobs?

For versatility basically. Like I said it's very much a work in progress since I don't know final numbers, so I might change multishot or HA if I need more AoE, hatred generation, or single-target damage. But the Boomerang Chakram is going to be my primary attack in most situations where there are only a few monsters and I have full hatred. It isn't going to be very good AoE in a wide open zone with mobs coming from all directions, though, it works better in hallways like the Cathedral. From what I've seen of multishot, it can hit enemies coming in across a wide arc, so it should be good for the first couple hits in open zones before I finish remaining monsters off with Chakram or regen hatred with HA.
