I was sorting through my collection of old video games and I saw a few real stinkers, so I thought I'd see what other dross you guys have tried to play.

    PC:

The worst: Deathtrap Dungeon : Just "oh my god!!!"

Honourable mention: Guild Wars : I spent $70 on this and got about 3 weeks play

    Console:

The worst: Tetrisphere : I got seasick every time I tried to play it

Honourable mention: Mace: The Dark Age : A game that promised soooo much.

I have a twisted argument about worst, but: Dragon Age II PC It was a complete letdown after the first one which was a true masterpiece.

I played some Sacred 2 with a few friends about 3-4 years back. I remember running around, for hours, with a character growth that seemed flat, and an inordinate amount of side quests with incredibly trivial tasks (go kill X number of wolves!). I'm glad they figured out how to generator a seamless and large environment, but if I wanted to go run on an endless plane for days on end, err, ok, I wouldn't.

The whole Sacred series was quite a disappointment to me for the very same reasons - vast open spaces, numerous trivial quests, and for some reasons half of these quests require the player to jog for several miles back and forth just because [beep] you.
TQ/TQ:IT wasn't meeting the expectations either: brilliant idea of skill trees combining to form classes sunk in the lake of mud - slow character progress (so basically what hapened in the last 5 hours of gameplay? my level raised by 20? nice. Any effect on the character himself - nope.) and no display of character damage statisctics - this is just as stupid as it can get. You can't figure out the interconnections between damage, modificators, stats, gear properties. Ugh.

Temple of Elemental Evil. Hands down.
I couldn't seem to do any quests without googling, and kept getting utterly owned at the Outpost of Evil or whatever it was called by the frogs and spiders.

Soccer! I can't stand it! Luckily, I've never had to pay to play it, but I have been forced to from time to time. Can't even watch it without alcohol. Lots of alcohol.

Are we talking about virtual games or RL games. Because if we're talking about RL, then Rugby. I have back problems. I played Rugby once and, well, I don't fly properly. Soccer is just boring, but I don't hear my body cracking. I heard that Mortal Kombat X-Ray sound playing rugby. True story. :whistling:

VG: My first video game was an Atari. I could make a lot of easy picks - like Superman with the laser gun on the cover.

There was a cartridge with lots of games on it (32 in 1). I wish I could say "that game with..." but, a-ha! That's the issue! I can't even describe the game, because I can't even understand some Atari games... (Maybe never will).

I loved that game! I was so pro at it. In the last level I was able to make a roller coaster as big as the map with the right intensity at my first try!

Then I borrowed the game... and never saw it again.

After that I tried the new versions... but didn't like it.

D2 for eating up too much time, or maybe Touhou for killing eyes. Shogun 2 is also pretty terrible just by affiliation with nulio.

(Those aside, probably Muv Luv for actually being terrible. Never listen to frozzzen.)

Agreed. E17 was pretty lifewrecking game because of how epic it was.

Fine, I was overreacting last post. Ever 17 is pretty decent game... however, it's still the worst game I have ever played.

I can't say it's the worst game I have ever played, but I sold Warcraft III within a week. I'm more of a Starcraft fan.
