MK reached perfection at MK3 for the SNES. After that with the new systems the combos and moves became too hard for a terribly uncoordinated person like myself. (That's why the last game I played was Diablo II, the easiest game on earth)

I guess my favourite move would be the Liu Kang bicycle kick (hold low kick for 5 seconds and release)

I always was good with that dude with the two hooks that ran thru opponents and they spun like crazy and there was some stupid 7 hit combo...I'm sure that made sense!

My favourite fatality was...I can't remember many but the Sub Zero one where he freezes them then breaks them over his head was pretty damn cool.

It's not the best. Up until 2 or maybe 3, it was okay. But after that, it just went downhill. The number palette swapped ninjas just got ridiculous. MK Trilogy (N64) was the worst for that. And the number of -alities was stupid. MK was never very good, it was just that the "OMG WOW BLUD!" factor was enough to keep it alive.

all of these similarly done fight games suck. hands down.

of all of them, the only good ones were the virtua fighter's, in arcades.

    Scorpion was my best char.

That 'Come'ere' move kicked ***. Where he fired the harpoon into people and dragged them close so you could hit them for free. Bit lame now I think about it... was one of those annoying moves that you could use over and over again to win easily.

The best fighting game for me was Killer Instinct on the SNES (I think). I used to beat everyone on that one.

MK II was the pinnacle as far as I'm concerned. I stopped playing because of MK III's shittiness.

    Gimmie the ninjas.

MK IX = Rest Home Edition

MK II and MK IV were, in my opinion, the best non-PC fighting games of all time. MK III, in my humble opinion, made me ask "What the hell happened?!?"

Though not a great fighter, I was a savvy one and could beat some of the better players throuh careful strategy. My favorite fighters were Scorpion (Scorpion for Pres' 2008!), Sub-Zero, and good ol' Shang Tsung (morph abilities really helped...they changed the strategy b/c your opponent couldn't possibly prepare for all possibilities).

MK Dark Alliance was my favorite one I think (don't know what number that one is tho). Shang Tusung was by far the best character in that one. He was so quick with his moves. You had three fighting styles in this one. Two hand-to-hand and a sword style. I can't remember the name of his best one, I think it was Crane technique or something.
