    Well this will just become mandatory. Forget all other glyphs for this ability. Your skill bar just dropped down to 5 slots. In a gear-driven game, abilities that increase your gear drop are an obvious choice over everything. Well played Blizz.

    Wait. Are all these set in stone?





    of corse not.



    They are still working on the new sistem of runes. Sure it will still change the skills, but i dont see all this coming to the final game. Anything that improve your loot drops throuth skills is just..ridiculous. Blizzard will make this a "must have" in EVERY build.


    They wouldn't do that..

    On the other hand this rune effect is pretty .. funny :D Imagine a small, poor imp being influenced by a terrifying scream of a furious barbarian rushing in his direction with some nasty 2h tool of destruction.. If I were in his place I would drop something too ;)

    I like how they've named the rune alterd abiliies, like Rune A version of "Wrath of the Berserker" as "Insanity", Rune D version of "Wrath of the berserker" as "Thrive on Chaos",
    etc.

    Looks like it has been replaced by Rampage?

    As far as the rune effects providing drop chances, look at it this way; you are sacrificing power because you aren't increasing the damage of these skills, so it isn't mandatory, just a choice.

    I'd suspect that this list of skills+runes is not super recent, and that there are probably a fair number of changes in the final game. (Possibly some skill names are just wrong/changed, but other info is likely old.)

    It seems unlikely that Call of Ancients has been dumped, as much as the devs talked about it in recent months.

    Beta builds are often set in stone well in advance of their release, and while they get some changes and tweaking, they kind of proceed independent/parallel to the full game's development. Especially as we know big changes are going on with runestones (though probably not so much in their skill effects.)

    I imagine every class has some item find bonus stuck into one of their rune stone effects. Just like in the past, it will come down to killing power vs. item finding, so I'm not worried about it. Of course, I speculate, we all do. If that rune is used by 100% of players, I wouldn't be surprised if Blizz nerfs it.

    I've just gone through the Wizards and Witch Doctors and there's no MF runes in them at all (IIRC).

    "Find Item" in D2 at first glance seems OP. But it was total crap. Item-enhancing effects from runes could be similar.

    It was bad because you had to use it per corpse. That won't be the case in D3 it seems, these effects shouldn't hinder your kill speed too much.

    It was also bad in that it didn't take your total MF into account. It almost always gave you white/cracked/blue items, regardless of difficulty. They can easily tweak item-modifying runes in such away, to limit the iLvl of items which can be acquired. A very small chance at rares and Legendaries, slightly larger for salvage materials, and mostly white common items, for example.

    I didn't know that. Never really used it extensively for the aforementioned reason.

    They certainly can, but I'd rather they don't do that (is this the correct way to say this?) and balance the increased chances for finding extra items instead.

    Wonder why there's no monk or demon hunter datamines? I guess it would be late in China atm.
