It's not much, but I was on the Arreat Summit, and I noticed that these items were all Exceptional and class-specific, and required Level 42:

    Amazon: Titan's Revenge
    Lycander's Aim
    Lycander's Flank

    Assassin: Bartuc's Cut-Throat

    Necromancer: Homunculus

    Barbarian: Arreat's Face

    Paladin: Herald of Zakarum

    Sorceress: The Oculus

    Druid: Jalal's Mane

Now, I bet 99.99% of you are thinking "so what? What's your point?" Honestly, I don't know, I just thought it was cool. But what do you have to say? Do you think there's a sensible theory behind this? Or am I just crazy?

To expand on my reasoning for this thread, I like to find theories behind the stories of games, and use it to made THE ideal character. Like, there's a game where this guy was called Ausar the Vile, so I gave him all the Armor that started with the word vile. For here, I wanna see if these items are like a legendary item of the class, or if it's their main symbol, or stuff like that. I study too much lol.

42 is the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything :whistling:

It's one of the millions of Easter eggs left behind by the game creators

Its funny how I spend more time studying the game than actually playing it
