    I almost died playing games...

SO i read the news where this s. korean guy died cuz he gamed 50 hours straight... I've had my close encounter with death while playing games too.
I was playing Morrowind III for like 4 days with only a little sleep, food, and soda. When i finally finished the game I stood up, i felt a little light headed(like when u just woke up) then my eyes started to hurt and everything went black... i stumbled into the bathroom and washed my face, got some water and then fell asleep on the couch... i don't know if it was dehydration from all the soda and lack of water but it really felt like i was gonna die... Now im just playing 1-2 hours a day...

    I can see that happening.

I play WoW from the moment I come home from work, to the moment I lay my head to sleep, stopping only to cook and eat dinner, and to answer the call of nature. That's easily 4-5 hours of playtime on a work night - on the days I don't see my fiance. If I could, I would wake up on a weekend morning and do more of the same. When I was single this is what I would do with D2.

    So it's not impossible.

It may not be impossible but it is one of the more pathetic ways to go. There is few past times that are more wasteful than video games when taken to these extremes. It is sad when it becomes such an addiction that you do nothing else but that. Just like anything else, video games are great, but only when taken in moderation.

Does anybody here actually not regret many of the hours wasted on Diablo 2, especially now that many (or most?) in the OTF are done with the game?

I probably waste more time on various forums than I ever did on D2.

The meaning of life is to waste time, man. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, because nobody is doing otherwise.

Yeah I regret it. Regret getting into games altogether and I was crazy for them. DAOC was my craic after Diablo and after that I completly packed them in. I might play a manager sports game at most now but thats just when I'm really really bored. Thing is, I didn't find it hard to break at all. I'd just say to myself "What's the point?".

I can't understand people who don't even eat or drink when doing all-nighters... I mean come on, the 'q' button is there for a reason in Morrowind.

I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. Gaming is one of my major hobbies and I love every single minute I get to spend hacking away at D2 - or whatever game I happen to be playing for that matter. If I live to be 100, I'll probably die with a mouse or a controller in my hand.

Me neither. Even during a marathon gaming session, I take frequent breaks to rest my eyes and hands, as well as have something nourishing to eat - and when I'm tired, I quit. It's not like the game is going to vanish while I sleep.

Every single time I've ignored doing those simple things, I've ended up feeling like complete crap the next day. I only have one body and one life, so I'm not going to abuse them.
