Introducing myself would be the first best thing to do here. lets get started.
I just recently started to play D3 with my friends, although I have alot of questions about the game and found this forum. I hope I could learn a lot here.

btw I did played the first Diablo, the old school one. I was expecting that I would still see necromancer in D3 but he is not included? though I heard that necro is on D2? correct me if I am wrong XD

Necromancer is playable in D2, and not playable in D3. But he does randomly make a cameo in D3 - Act 2. As in there's only a small chance you'll encounter him, and there are two different encounters. You'll be able to recognize him from his trademark long white hair in both instances, his outfit and the story he tells you.

Technically, the Necromancer appearing in Act 2 is the apprentice of the D2 Necromancer. Curious about the second encounter, though, I think I've only seen one (the most common one, I presume).

From the D2 characters, only the Barbarian has survived the trip to D3. While the age would fit (the D3 barbarian is an aged man and D3 is supposed to be about 20 years later than D2), Blizzard has already stated that the Barbarian in D3 is not the same person as the one in D2, which I would have liked. But oh well. I don't mind design decisions like this, and making mostly new classes. What I want to see in the D3 expansion is more cameo's though, that's for sure!

Welcome to the forums, btw :)
