Help me count damage :D

    So i want to know which one is making more damage in pvp... 6blaze orb with 10/10facets or 30/30 fire faceted sword :p

    Yes its blaze sorc build i have made for trolling in duels (works really nice :crazyeyes:) I might write guide about this later :smug:

    got best items i can get to my build atm (not orb?)

    got lvl 41blaze (41warmth 41fire wall)

    10/10facets in helm 20/20facets in jmod shield and 30/30 from weapon

    after bo i got 10195-10374dmg/second

    so would i do more damage with 2sorc/3fire + 3blaze (3fire master) 10/10 orb than with 30/30 sword? :whistling:

    Your avg base dmg on blaze is ~1036.
    Firewall, ~3363dmg.

    With every skill point to blaze, you increase its base with ~41 dmg.

    With every 10% to firedmg, it would be ~103 dmg.

    Every point on FM will increase your base dmg with only 7%. (First point = 30% bonus, ie lvl 10FM = 93%)

    Do the math! ;)

    There is pvp penalty in pvp too? and -fire resist to enemy is like damage too :scratchchin:

    +6skill points and 10/-10 vs 30/-30 from weapon

    The dmg is 1/6 of your normal dmg, in pvp.

    -res works without penalty.

    So in the end, it all depends on if your opponent has stacked fire resistances or not! -Res will only work to you favor if you can lower their resist enough. Overstacking is quite a deal!

    If you want to use a infinity instead, that would maybe increase your dmg alot more. I mean, -85% Fire resistances are pretty nice.

    Don't forget cold tree comes with an inherent -res, orb is easily maxed, and you hardly have to aim, just teleport and blast in the direction of your opponent.

    And even with max orb/synergy/mastery, you still have 30-40 points spare for lightning tree, a little bit of ES and max tk, and you're good to go!

    got now max block (using jmod) and got total 50/-50 from wep and shield so not good idea to use infy :)

    actually i dont attack so no firewall:p

    just blaze and go to bear form for more life and kill autoppl who run to my fire :rolf:

    Still need opinions/answers if i should get 5-6blaze orb 2sox 10/-10

    I got confused when he said "orb", didn't realize he meant a sorceress orb weapon, though he was talking about blaze + frozen orb ^^

    Some ppl tend to overstack resistances in pvp so they have effective 75% even after -res applied.

    how much more damage would i make if i used 6blaze 10/10 instead of 30/30crystal sword?

    So the baseline is level 42 Blaze and Fire Mastery (+317% Fire Skill Damage), 20 points each in Warmth and Fire Wall (doubling damage), +30% Fire Skill Damage and -30% Enemy Fire Resistance.

    Level 42 Blaze and FM (+317%), +60% FSD:
    Code:
    Minimum = [ ( (144*42) - 2400) * 2 * 4.77] * 25 * 3 /256 ~ 10,195
    Maximum = [ ( (144*42) - 2336) * 2 * 4.77] * 25 * 3 /256 ~ 10,374
    Level 48 Blaze and FM (+359% FSD), +40% FSD:
    Code:
    Minimum = [ ( (144*48) - 2400) * 2 * 4.99] * 25 * 3 /256 ~ 13,192
    Maximum = [ ( (144*48) - 2336) * 2 * 4.99] * 25 * 3 /256 ~ 13,379
    Assuming Fire Resist 75%, -60% EFR results in the former being multiplied by 0.85 (~8,665-8,817), while -40% results in the latter being multiplied by 0.65 (~8,574-8,696).

    Unfortunately, a player only needs Magic Damage Reduced by 24 to completely negate fire damage in the first case, and MDR 31 to do so in the second. Displayed fire damage per second is based on three missiles colliding with and damaging a target 25 times per second, but unlike similar skills the effectiveness of MDR is not reduced against Blaze: the maximum damage done by each collision is only [ ( (144*48) - 2336) * 2 * 4.99]/256, reduced to 17% against players and thus resulting in just 7763/256 or 30 [SUB]83/256[/SUB] fire damage per collision.

    its actually funniest public duel char i have ever played :D

    i seriously kill ppl badly with my blaze by just walking around and making invisible firewalls with blaze :rolf:

    but thanks alot mr onderduiker for that :)

    going to try get one blaze orb to my hands for more damage :crazyeyes:

    The orb only results in more damage if your opponent has Fire Resist < 72% before any -% Enemy Fire Resistance is applied: at FR > 71%, the socketed weapon's additional -20% EFR results in more damage.

    It's unlikely it's common knowledge that Blaze can be countered with modest integer magic damage reduction, and I'm not sure many PvP characters would equip enough by accident.

    I seldom use poison because there's a time component involved; I use a hint of ice (e.g. in gems) to add a freezing effect (I only put in one gem [sapphire] since I am only after its effects). I use fire most of the time; lightning I use only in most desperate cases since it has an extremely low minimum damage and an extremely high maximum damage.
