    Female gamers, fall in!

Heheh, just curious to know, are there any female gamers here who surf these forums or play D2 :afro:

I've met some female players (I duno, they SAID they were gals ) in Diablo 2 and most of them were pretty nice. Gave me free rushes and equipments, not to mention they tend to be more chatty compared to male gamers.

I've also met a few couples, both husband and wife players, and I remember there was this lady who tend to talk alot about their new born baby in the game.

I certainly hope there're more female gamers in D3 once its out!
Feel free to post your experiences with female gamers in D2 :jig:

I fall into one of the handful. So we're more chatty, so what :b it's more interesting to chill and talk during the game than to just grind and grind until you fall asleep on the keyboard.

    LOL :whistling:

Anyway allowing players to choose the gender, is Blizzard trying to attract female games over to D3?

For one, my cousin is already interested in playing the game

Not so much as expressing gratitude for the ones they already have.

I am a girl that plays Diablo 2. Though I'm not sure I'd call myself a "gamer", since D2 is the only game I play.

Same here! Also from the Netherlands b.t.w. I only ever play D2 and never online because Battlenet hates me.

OT- Yay! Another Nederlandse! (Though I am a transplant. Moved here almost two years ago to be with my boyfriend.)

I've never played on Battle.net either. Just single player and TCP/IP games.

....hook up into a dirty fantasy or what?

Hektareh (unusual name btw, where does it come from) - people here say I'm a transplant too, believing I'm Belgian (which I'm not) or Irish (which I'm even less), or Southern (which I am)

    Re: Female gamers, fall in!

I'm an avid D2 junky, even play a little bit of wow. (I'm a she btw)

I generally try to avoid letting my gender be known, at least initially, and not to randoms. Dealing with immature juveniles who think that because I'm a she, I'm somehow obligated to tell them every little personal detail because in their viewpoint "chicks" dont play d2, or "your just a guy telling people your a she because you want free itamz"(never the case).

As Far as gaming goes, it's my brothers who got me hooked. Started out with mario on the nes, then I found Zelda and have become hooked on Rpg and fantasy (games/books) in general. They simply offer a more imaginative and involving game play/story.

At this point I just hang out on the hardcore side of things with the goodly banana peeps. Role playing games with a good engine ,storyline and reward system is all the ingredients I need. Overly fluffiness to appeal at some barbie-esque cliche of an opinion of what "girls" are supposed to like is a total turn off. A good game is good enough for attracting s/he alike.

I will admit that in WOW I particularly liked being able to pick gender. But why cant my barb in d2 be a she!?

One nice thing about playing in hardcore, is if they're especially annoying I can pk them

Game isn't much of an option because, as I said, battlenet hates me.
