    Hello there friends,

    I encountered a weird bug when attempting to archive a dead barbarian. My very much living barbarian was instead archived... Be careful the servers seem twitchy at the moment.

    at least they put your chest armor on so you're warm in hell.

    Heard back from blizz customer support. They cannot even see the character in question (BruteIV)...

    This is Senior Game Master Melrechen I wanted to get in touch with you and offer some assistance. Hopefully your day is going well so far! I understand that you're having an issue with a recent bug affecting one of your Diablo 3 characters.


    Sorry to hear about the inconvenience on this so far, especially since it affected such a high level character. I wanted to take a minute to explain what we can do to help in this case.


    Customer Service has limited means to investigate Diablo 3 issues -- the screenshots you sent are helpful, but our logs are unable to provide any direct information about the character. That includes in game activity (such as items traded, monsters you encountered, or other random elements that occur during gameplay) and activity on the user interface.


    I can totally understand how the loss of this character is frustrating, but we don't have a means to reverse the action on the character or to move it back to your active list. With that said, we do have a method for you to report Diablo 3 bugs to the development staff, in hopes that this might allow them to fix it in the future.

    The link above provides information on how to submit this to our development staff. Include as much information in your post as possible -- details of what occurred prior to the bug, if you received any error messages, and clearly state how it affected the gameplay. Links to the screenshots might help too.

    Did you call them? It is far more effective to talk to those people than to let them copy and paste an email.

    Yeah called twice, told the same thing. "I don't have the power to do anything and I cannot see the character in question BruteIV."
    Apparently they cant see him dead OR alive, he just doesnt exist to them? I dont understand it. They also refuse to put me on the phone to anyone above their level instead giving me "GM" email addresses. I sent emails to these and am awaiting a response.
