    Nah.

Don't know if I could ever go back, despite the 100s of hours I've played it.

I am curious about how many people will do this though.

I think that the last time I played ladder and got my paladin (smiteadin) fully geared and mashing the ubers in seconds was about it for me. It is tempting though. I stopped playing when a near perfect paladin torch dropped for me, probably could have traded it for someones first born but by that point I had all the expensive gear I cared to get and didn't feel the need for indentured servants.

Oh yes the times when we could play games offline. Should have kept d2 for laptop :(

Returning to D2 is about a magnitude more appealing than even installing D3 again.

I'll deditcate my first tarnhelm to a sorc memorizing my witch doctor with I spent 10 hours beating cyderias autohit spiders. To mention that a level 2 static field is still smaller than a D3 hitbox.

    Good bye.

I tried going back to D2 earlier... it didn't take.

D3 has lots of flaws and I don't think I'll ever enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed D2, but it's just difficult for me to go back to significantly grainier visuals and a lack of autogold pick up. It certainly doesn't help that by this point I've tried about all but the most obscure builds D2 has to offer. End result? I play it, but play it less than I would otherwise. I'm actually fairly satisfied with that outcome.

Well at least you can do without picking up the gold and don't have to "earn" it, which can't be said of d3.

In that respect D3 feels much like working at a bad job vs D2 a vacation... for me anyway :)

I'm very tempted to do it and probably would if D3 had never come out, but after playing D3, I expect D2 will simply feel too old-fashioned and dead-end.

It does, I went back for nostalgia and to check out my old expired characters but everything in D2 just pales in comparison.

Also, most of the games on multiplayer are still baal/chaos bots, 99% pk games are modders, the game is history.

Thats why whe have Op Ranbot channel/community in europe witch dont allow any hacks. Best dia/baalruns there and you see how fast your runs are made and how many runs done etc... :coffee:

Me too, if I play at all. I have kept my accounts current and haven't played a new ladder in ages. But if I do play it will be NL due to being able to twink. It just feels like too much work to play ladder and have no items. Been there done that--and as Valeli said, I am fairly satisfied with that result. D2 has been verrry, verrry good to me and it feels like time to move on.

Is iron maiden still present in chaos sanctuary? I remember giving up going there with my barb. Just kept dying to reflect damage no matter how careful i played :(
