Curse-o-mancer anyone?

    Curse-o-mancer anyone?

    Yep. Ive decided that, no matter how dang stupid this will be, i'm going to start playing with a pure Curse based necromancer (prob gonna get a golem for the mobs to trigger Iron Maiden n other stuffs tho).

    Any tips/opinions on equipment, what curses to invest in, maybe what other golem should do the job too.



    Speaking of golems. Ive read somewhere that people mentioned making Iron Golems out of runeworded items. Will those golems like, stay with ya till next time you log on, or is it like a one-time-golem? :rofl:

    With or without merc? Without merc you are not going to kill anything. so it doesn't really matter what skills you pick.

    Iron Golems stay with you.

    Pure curse-mancers are viable for multiplayer. With dim vision, confuse, amp, lower resist, etc. you can help out your teammates.
    I can't see it working for single player.

    Curse-o-mancer? Please. They're called mojomancers.
    Also, if using a golem, synergise iron golem can be pretty tough I've heard. Make them out of IK mauls as they're pretty common.

    Iron golems now stay with you until they die, so they'll stick around.
    Mojomancers (curse-o-mancers) are hard to play and imo incredibly dull and slow. However a good merc, a solid IG and clever use of the CC curses (attract/confuse/dim vision) makes it fairly viable with mobs. Bosses are going to be a nuisance because you'll basically be spamming decrepify.

    Go for it if you want but they're not very popular for a reason :p

    I'm rolling one , and basically all the above points are correct (well except the dull part okay maybe the dull part). You really need to decide how your going to kill things and you only have a few options (mercenary, corpse explosion, golems).

    Might/infinty merc with corpse explosion + amp dmg will still kill very fast... You just gotta wait on the merc to kill the first mob before the slaughter begins. A big positive is that your killing power (aside from the first kill and bosses) will be almost identical in 1-8 player games due to corpse explosion's % of life effect.

    If you mean pure curse without any CE, it could be very annoying to play.

    ^CE doesn't scale with player count, it always uses monster life at P1. Only skill that does otherwise is Static Field.

    If you give your merc a solid weap I think most of the game won't be hard, if slow going at times. With CE is easy mode.
