Can someone please explain to me why a spirit pally shield has an extra mod which is resist fire as compared to a spirit monarch which does not have a resist fire mod...? And also why the resist mods on a pally spirit tend to be higher than that of spirit monarch...?

Pally shields have 2 possible implicit mods: enhanced physical damage or resist all. Resist all can go up to 45.

So the spirit runeword doesn't have any fire resist but the base shield can, that's why you only see fire resist on pally spirit shields.

    Indeed.

So a spirit Monarch has 35% Light/Cold/Poison Resists.

While a Paladin spirit Shield can have up to 80% Light/Cold/Poison and 45% Fire resists.

The game is breaking the all resist down into individual resistances.
