I knew it, the Lord of Lies will conjure deception and treachery in DIII. And we're going to Xiansai! .. Cant wait to see an Easter influence environment, architecture..its gonna rock!
One of the things we didn't like about Diablo 2 was that…the story was basically the same story in each act. You showed up in the town and the townspeople said, the demon went thataway. In here, every act is different. The first act is a little bit more of a mystery, there's this cult that has been operating in and around the rebuilt Tristram, you're trying to find out who they are. Act two's a little bit more of an intrigue and deception-focused story, because Belial is in there. Act three, there's a lot more.

i am gonna be very upset if the last ever diablo game doesnt have diablo in it . in the Q&A jay said that they hadnt said diablo is gonna return. so he may not someone asked if mephisto is and he said .
We’re not really talking about who is coming back or who you will be fighting but I wouldn’t count anybody out. Maybe a sitcom for all the brothers.

And also ,,, Just because sideshow collectibles figurine says 'Barb stands on top of defeated Diablo', it doesnt mean IT IS Diablo. They make mistakes ... its a figurine lol so they figured the game is Diablo and the demon must be Diablo.

It makes sense that he'd be very guarded on whether the Prime Evils will be returning. Obviously, given their fates at the end of D2, their return (whether all or just Diablo) will be a major plot point in the overall story. Spoiling it at this point by confirming it would be silly.

Wow - I missed that :P. I didn't read the whole article because I thought a lot of the information would be repeats of what we learned at BlizzCon.
That is indeed a very intriguing tidbit of information. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.
I can't help but wonder how all this will affect PvP. Having an infinite 'resource' (like the Barbarian's fury) seems like an advantage over something like mana, which can run out (or at least won't regenerate fast enough to be of much use) and which requires you to drink mana potions to replenish.

They also announced that there would be different "blue orb" systems for every class during the panel discussion, and that they were experimenting with the Barbarian's fury and were quite happy but hadn't done much for wizard or monk yet.
Diablo is returning. i can say that for certain.
I presume Mephisto will be the 2nd and final prime evil returning, baal probably died in the destruction of the world stone, but Mephisto's soul stone was destroyed too so its hard to say.
Hopefully It's Mephisto and D, leaving Tyreal corrupted by Baal to be the xpac boss.
