FRS3: H&H - Locations VII - The Tardein Wastes

: S I Z E S :

2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200

Hey guys, sorry this wall is a day later than planned. Since I have a job again it kinda slows down my wallpaper process some, but I’m still adjusting. This week I chose a concept art location art piece. This one is on the Dune Thresher lore page. If you read the lore story about this creature it was around a place called the Tardein Wastes. There was also this concept art in the story. Since no one else has posted about it I thought I’d bring it to light for people.

The other location art that looked like a giant whirlpool looking rock formation I still don’t know what that is used for yet. I guess we’ll find out sometime. Also if you noticed I managed to recover the old bars and add some metal work to them. This metal work I tried to freehand so many types of framework that could continue off the nameplate and add to it. None worked so I used parts from the official d3 logo .tiff file and used some of the fancy metal work from the bottom side. I took away the sun looking design and tweaked the size to match the nameplate. I tried to make this metal work red, but it was way to distracting, and this was the best way to go.

Also I decided to play around with the metal work that I had from scratch while making the metalwork. I created a neat design that centered on the sun design I cut out. So I decided to add it as the centerpiece to the top bar for the design. I think it all turned out well. I’ve wanted to do this metalwork tweak before my hard drive failure. I hope you all like this as I tried to remake my lost locations wallpaper design and added to it and improved some areas I saw that were messed up in the older designs.

With that I will see you all next time around. Have a good Easter coming up if you celebrate it.

HK

That's a very nice piece of art. I don't understand/see all the little whattheirname you explained, but I get a very creepy/awesome feeling out of this wallpaper. The stick figure+crater+fiery runes makes this one look like Burning Man in Petra.
