Newbie Diablo help

Hello ppls

Im new to the game, and I am playing diablo 2 So just wanted to find out some stuff. Im playing a barberian. And Im just wondering what would be the best weapon choice to choose to put points in weapon masterys. Im thinking either axes or maces?

I have finished the game on normal already on my retarded specced barbarian but now i want to make a really good one so im starting again. I noticed i did not find many decent one handed maces? I mainly found one handed swords and axes? So thinking should I go axes instead of maces?

What type of barb you are? Frenzy or WW or Berserk? Berserk and WW often go with 2handers. And there are quite lot of nice 2 handed maces... Anyways, check the barbarian forum (or SPF) for build guides to get better perspective first.

This thread (In the Diablo 2 stickies section) gives basically all the information you'd want to know about Barbarians, including links to many guides which will break it down step by step how to build many different types of barbarians. For someone just starting out without many items to use, I would recommend Hal's Conc barb guide, as it is less item dependent. All are good though.
