Does anyone know of a way other than using an image to run Hellfire without requiring the CD in the drive? Like a change you can make to command.txt or something, or a file you copy to the right place?
Oh, since it's almost certainly relevant, I'm running the game after copying the files from my old machine to my new one, without actually running the install, so any registry entries do not exist. Game still runs fine though.
I'm running a mod called Plugulmo.dll which comes with a loader and configurable.ini file... There's also a neat "stash" mod called "gillians" too! Google them and you'll be in no-CD heaven! Seriously the game loads in literally 2seconds with the files compied to HD!
Alright, so I ended up stumbling upon a lightweight, easy, safe-as-far-as-I-can-tell no-CD mod. Question for site staff: can I link to it here without getting in trouble?
