Every now and then I come upon some uniques while playing PvM, after which I check the attributes against whatever has been uploaded in the wiki already, and I make some revisions as appropriate. Not much, but although it needs some polish it's a start.
Well anyway, here's what I need help with:
(1) There's some text missing from the Normal Unique Belts, in particular the 1.08 statistics section. Is there any1 out there who can help fill out whatever is missing from that section?
(2) I've just come upon a Rockfleece, a Unique Field Plate. Thing is, my rockfleece didn't spawn purple-colored . Do I need to (1) upload a pic of it, (2) just put in a word about variations in spawned colors, or (3) don't do anything, spawns are expected to be variable. And jez in case I need to upload a pic, how do I upload said pic, given that it's my PvM char who "found" the rockfleece?
Thanks for the help.
PS. Although my wiki (eenie minor) revisions are sporadic, I do try to make some of the pages more appealing when I do find time for it, e.g., typofix/proofread. Said revisions may be exasperating most of the time, but lets jez say I'm doing it for the benefit of those who are obsessive-compulsive (like me). My humble apologies to those who are averse to OCs.
I can't answer your first question, as I lack the knowledge in statistics and item creation to do so, but I can answer the second question, as it's more of a wiki-type question =)
Regardless of how the item drops, I think there should be information stating that, so make sure you make a brief mention on how the item can drop, purple or non-purple. I think it would be wonderful if you uploaded a pic. Just take a screenshot, crop out most of the pic, so you show either only the tooltip, or tooltip + inventory image, or both of those and equipped graphics, whichever you like.
Then, add this code to the page: [[Image:Rockfleece_purple.jpg|thumb|right|150px|The purple drop of Rockfleece]]
Click the red image link that appears, and there you get the option to upload the image.
You can also go to "Toolbox" >> "Upload File" in the top menu, but I prefer the above method.
Even if you consider your edits to be minor, it's still great that you take that little time to polish the wiki just so much more, to make it even better, and the fact that you also return once in a while makes your contributions even greater than most others! I know I'm one of the few vocal voices about the wiki, but it has lots of visitors, and it's indeed very appreciated with even these small little changes! You deserve a pat on the back! =D
To be honest, I don't have an answer to your question, but I got one of my own. I've noticed that some uniques got their own 1.12 stats, like Bloodfist being ethereal, which I just know is false, and some unique normal one-handed sword having 10 more durability. Do you know what's up with that?
@Leord: Yes, Lord, it's me. Thanks for affirming fairly often that my itsy bitsy revisions help with the wiki, even if just at the level of face value.
@Arkado: I play v1.12, so if you see 1.12 statistics you can bet it's my handywork (uuhhh, I think I'm the only 1 who has put up such s*** so far). As it happens, when I came upon a Bloodfist during 1 of my leveling quests, it DID spawn eth. Other than posting it as such, mebbe you can suggest how I can polish my findings --- like post it as "may spawn as this-and-that" mebbe?
I play sass so mebbe how some uniques spawn has something to do with my char. But as I did say in my initial post, what I do post in the wiki is as how the attributes are generated when I do come upon said uniques. (Ugh! I'm tired of the phrase "come upon." Any synonym suggestions? )
So mebbe my revisions need more than just "some polish", but until some (or else en masse) of the sysops (hey, Leord!)/mods roast me for being such an upstart and feast on my carcass afterwards, looks like I'm going to carry on posting revisions.

About ethereal items: any unique can spawn ethereal (like Bloodfist), unless it has the indestructiblility mod (like The Grandfather). An exception are uniques that are ethereal by default (like Ethereal Edge).

"Wen a unique drops?" or "when I find a unique"?

I doubt the mod would rost a contributor to the wiki if he/she makes some mistakes ! Except for Gorny, though.

Lol, indeed not. I have been banning/deleting contribs that have been clearly vandalising, but that's a completely different matter. It was more like writing "f*ck" everywhere on an article.
Did Chen answer your question btw? Or would you perhaps like us to add information saying that any Unique can spawn as Etheral except Grandfather?
It does sound like something that would be of some importance...

Yeah, I figured there may be something wrong when I saw the Bloodfist listed as ethereal. There are seperate 1.12 version statistics and I didn't hear anything about new 1.12 stats. I still don't know about that "unique normal one-handed sword having 10 more durability" thing, but I think that the previous stat was listed incorrectly.
Isn't there a seperate section on the wiki explaining about etherealness? If there isn't, I could write one if you like. BTW, The Grandfather was but an example. Others, like Tyreal's Might, are also indestructable and therefore cannot spawn ethereal.
@Arkado: You might want to take up Leord's oh-so subtle suggestion and be an active (or in my case, semi-active) contributor to the wiki. Heaven knows I've been propositioned countless of times by the good Lord already.
(1) For starters, you can add something about eths in the UNIQUESTo Note section. It may require some work, though, as there are a number of Unique pages in the wiki. If you are not up to it, you can just post a line or 2 (heck, a paragraph even!) on 1 of the Unique wikipages, PM either me or any of the sysops/mods where you posted the edit, and I'll/we'll repost the edit on the other wiki pages. Me, since UNIQUES is a pet project of mine ATM; the sysops/mods since they indubitably know more than I do.
(2) You might also want to add a UNIQUES section on the Ethereal wikipage. If you've taken the time to read the contents of the page, you'll notice that there isn't anything at all about Uniques spawning as eth. Here's your chance to be a co-author-of-sorts to a wikipage. You know you want to do it...
The thing is: if you don't have much time to spare for you to be able to go through each of the wikipages, you can jez PM any1 whom you feel is capable enough to help you with the much-needed update on the wiki. Of course, you'll hafta create the eth revisions yourself; we'll jez post it in the appropriate pages for you.
@Leord: Given that you're an authority (may I say THE authority?) on the wiki, how do you name whatnots: level-kind-item (e.g., normal unique claw) or kind-level-item (e.g., unique normal claw)? Might be a funny-but-not-funny question, but I want to know for the sake of consistency of section headings.
