Problems on bnet

First, where are the quests? It seems they removed all the quests except the Butcher and King Leoric. Idk, maybe I'm just unlucky. But if it's true, why would they do this? There is not much to do in the game to begin with. Also, they removed the part where you take the staff of Lazarus to Cain then go to the church to fight Lazarus and all those snow witches. It's way too easy now where Lazarus is just in a little room with barely any support.

Secondly, I can hardly join any games--too much latency it says. When I am lucky enough to join a game, it is laggy even though my computer is really nice. So far, not a single person has ever joined any of my games. Bnet = ghost town. Is there any sense in playing on line if I can't play with anyone? Back to d2 I guess...

Re: Problems on bnet

Is this confirmed? Hmm... I did play on bnet some 2 years ago and it was nothing different with quests?! They were still random, and Lazarus fight wasn't easy while he was protected by whole bunch of witches + 2 unique ones.
I guess I'll test it next time I fire up Dia1.

Re: Problems on bnet

stillman - Multiplayer Diablo has *never* had any other quests than Butcher, Leoric, Lazarus and Diablo, and the Leoric and Lazarus quests are simplified, as you noted.

You are remember playing Single Player, which has all the additional quests in. Multiplayer Diablo has never had them, period. If you remember otherwise, then you are remembering wrong.

As for the latency, Diablo games are not actually hosted on battle.net at all, like D2 games are. Diablo games are hosted on the computer of whoever created the game and the connections are directly between the players. So if you are showing high latency to everyone else on battle.net, it actually has nothing to do with battle.net, it's just your connection to those other players that is bad. I see that you're from Canada, so I wouldn't expect you to have horendous pings to US players (are you getting red pings bars or yellow?), but if you can find any other local Canadian players you'll get much better pings to them.

Re: Problems on bnet

For some reason, I've never been able to access battle.net. I can make a multiplayer game, but not physically connect and be able to play with other people. It's probably because it's way past its heyday and no one plays it any more.
