I'm kinda curious what Blizzard has in mind for the stash.. what are your thoughts?
Anytime I think of "stash," I think of a giant cavernous piggy bank, filled to the brim with loot; shiny gold sovereigns, silver, jewels, emeralds, weapons, armor, hell- even a guardian dragon. Mounds of gold, like greedy ol' Scroodge. The stash, can be accessed universally by your account of course. To make it easier to find stuff, you scroll down an itemized list, but can also pick thru this huge pile.. Various methods of sorting by character, damage, etc..
In the begining, the stash animation starts off as a meager box, but as you level, the stash becomes larger (say tent sized,) and finally towards the latter stages of development, a dungeon, or cavern of your choosing.
If D3 resorts back to a puny little box with no specialized animation, it would be really sad... Isn't Diablo afterall, about all loot and glory?
I agree.
Why not make it a huge stash with space equivalent to that of the stash of 8 characters in d2 combined ?
Also, make it accessible by all your characters.
So, people won't have to make mule characters to store their items, and go through the hassle of perming their mules.
I recall in the games X-Wing, they had a system after each completed mission, you'd be rewarded with medals and ribbons. Maybe in a Diablo universe, you are rewarded with jewels that play some function in the graphical interface of your stash, or maybe even, the lighting, cobwebs, just some extra fun to fool around with a minigame of sorts within the confines of your stash... just some thoughts.. maybe you could even invite others into your stash.. to view your glory lol..
Don't know I plan on having two accounts if its free to play or the price isn't as high as wow is currently.
I only do this for mule purposes. heh
I'd say like a 20x20 stash box but as you get to each game lvl normal, nightmare, hell or what ever the equvillant will be, it gets bigger. Or at certain mile stones in levels.. 30, 60, and 90 it gets bigger.
If they put it so you can access each toon, that would mean you can farm pass it on and never group as much with others. I can't see the dev team doing that, but it would be nice.
I like the OP's suggestion. I was at first thinking of a vault for your stuff. But now, I want an ARMORY filled with every complete set in the game and loads of more space for godlies.
I also want there to be cubbie holes where you set your perfect CoA and other unique elite gear so it stands out among the other junk.
Also, we should be able to send screen shots of our stuff quickly to other bnet players.
We should all be able to support an army of noobs once we get rich.
Also, we should be allowed to "lend" stuff from our stash. So you give a friend or stranger a low set or w/e, and it automatically goes back to your stash after 2 hours.
My stash will be a an abandoned badger burrow, that none of you will be able to find. When the leaves and dirt brushed aside, the stash will reveal as glimmering goodness of gold, armory, weaponry, and various other precious jewelry. The burrow stash under the dead tree stump... oh my.
Since I play singleplayer, I've had the pleasure of using ATMA for my muling purposes. Endless stashes that get auto-organized based on item type. Easily drag and drop from character to character. It's basically what everyone is asking for in this thread.
I always found Blizzard's anti-muling stance odd. How the heck did they expect single-player characters to beat the game? I hope they include muling this time around.
