D3 PvP similiar to WoW?

What do you guys thinkg about having D3 Arenas and possibly BGs. I think that would definitely be a riot. I believe you should be able to have some similiar form of hostility as we have now in D2 but also incorperate Arenas and possibly BGs into it.

What do you guys think?

Arenas, yes. Battlegrounds were absolutely awful in WoW, but something along the same idea could be nice if implemented properly. Really any type of tvt pvp with a ladder is good with me.

I´m fine with Arenas and Battlegrounds, but I don´t want PVP gameplay to be similar to WoW. Too many stuns, roots, slows, crowd controls... You get the idea.

I really don't want anything to be too similar to wow. I didn't enjoy any aspect of wow really. I got very bored with it and just plain did not want to play anymore. DII has kept me for 8 years...and I really hope DIII can do the same. IMO WoW will NEVER touch the gameplay of DII....and DIII must be better than DII.

WoW pvp also interfered waaaay too much with pve/pvm balancing. PvP should not have been a factor in what was essentially a PvE game, but blizzard just had to have their "e-sport". *sigh*

If they leave out the crowd control aspects in diablo pvp, balancing hopefully won't be much of a problem... especially since blizzard used a lot of altered game mechanics for effects on players vs computer-controlled mobs.

The only thing I want to be similar is players fighting players.

I found it really annoying in d2 when there were these spammy duels going on sporatically. I hope d3 has something that keeps PvP the hell out of PvM games. An arena I guess. I want total segregation. No dueling in a PvM game, not even if it's consentual.
