1. Fully equipable merc's (although I haven't read much to do with the new game so for all I know sidekicks might not even exist) I could live without ammy/ring slots but everything else should be included. Also, I would love to be able to view the merc that matches what he/she has actually wearing unlike D2 in which the graffic never changes.
2. +skill(s) mods on magic and rares... not just +Barb or Witch Dr. skills, lets go for both. I would imagine this is already the case (hopefully) since the only +skills mods in d2 were on uniques and ruinwords and won't appear in the new game. Since this can greatly improve your character I'd rather this mod to appear much later in the game.
I believe that no amount of AI will ever be good enough for a d3 merc, so I was hoping for no merc's for anyone. But, if there's going to be merc's, I guess it would be nice to have more equipment options.
you didn't hear about Dimbag getting killed while performing on stage by some physco, disgruntled "fan" sporting a gun about 2-3 years ago? Police ended up having to take him out.
I screwed up by posting the OP in the wrong area (not paying attention I guess) to begin with but now we are really getting off topic lol
I have a feeling you will not be able to equip your mercs in D3, reading up on it you will be able to have more than 1 merc at a time. (perhaps this was situational, however and I'm way wrong)
Am I misunderstanding point #2??? There ARE +skills in D2 that aren't unique or runewords. All the class specific items can get +2 to that classes skills on a magic or rare. Rare circlet/diadems/tiaras/coronets can all get +2 to a class's skills. So can rare ammy's and crafted ammys. Ammy's and headpieces can also get +3 to a specific skill tab. Not to mention gloves that can get +skills to either martial arts, bow, or jav skills & swords that can get +skills to the combat tree (both barb & pally).
I'm going to guess that you meant +skills on ANY magic or rare, like boots or belt or something? I'm personally against having all mods available on all equipment slots. I like it better knowing that if you want ITD you have to get a weapon with it & shuffle your other mods around to other slots.

I don't like either of your wishes. Mercs were made the game too easy when LOD came. With good enough gear they could beat the whole game for you. Tanking all the monsters while you sit there behind shooting. Hated it.
But they said something that mercs are coming to the game but now with some more story and personality. I try to avoid them.
I doubt +skills will be in the game. I think they have different kind of systems now that add our spell/skill strenght. Like items adding willpower and willpower makes our spell stronger. So no need for +skills to add power for our skills anymore.
Well, I don't mind mercs. Weak caster characters have their help there, and besides, it takes some cash to revive them (good one 50k). I even second the idea of having full slot for merc. Infact I wanted to make similar thread too so I can tell what I would like to see in D3.
So, these so called health orbs? How will they work on PvP? I personally like the idea, instead of massing potions like crazy, but instead of instant activation, you could carry them with you and use them on need (ya I know this sounds like pots now, but the trick is in that NPC should not sell orbs so you need to work ur *** for them)
Next, main thing I would like in D3 from all things possible are CLANS. They made a lot of fans angry (like myself) because you have clans in Warcraft. You have clans in Starcraft. But you dont have clans in Diablo. Clans would only help the replayability of the game, and noobs would get support from their teammates and the game would overall be more noob friendly. Not to mention that you have instant parties in a sec without hoping someone will join to help you with act, mule, boss etc etc. I can't even tell how important the clans would be in diablo. But I guess that's history now.
Then next thing: like i said in thread above, better set items. Current ones are ****.
And besides clans most important thing that should be done, for which we all hope for is some good dupe and hack protection. So you dont have to live in fear will your hard earned Soj or hrs dissapear after few days.
Best I could think of right now. When I get more I will post it

This is rather offtopic, but detailed info can be found in www.wikipedia.org
1. No specifics yet, but they did say mercs are a vast improvement over what they were in Diablo 2.
2. I'm not so sure about this, part of the problem in D2 was every character ended up with +5000 to all skills, but this could be fixed with balancing.
EDIT: Nevermind, I was reading the dates as Month/Day/Year not Day/Month/Year. Sorry.
