Swords Fan Art Contest: Second Chance Vote

The contest winners can be seen here. These are 10 honorable mentions, chosen by Ben Boos, and submitted for your approval. Look over all of the images (attached below), view them full size to get a really good look, and then place your vote. You may vote for 2 of them. (We'll be checking IP#s, so if you register 50 alts just to vote up your own image, you will be sorry.)

The top two vote getters will win an autographed copy of D2 artist Ben Boos' Swords book. You may comment in this thread to argue for your favorite image, but don't insult or argue against other images. That's not cool; no one's a professional here, and that sort of behavior will get your post deleted.

This vote will remain open until September 9th, 2008, the day Ben's book is released.

I voted for #2 and #7. All of them are fantastic entries, and I applaud you all. I chose #2 because Tyrael sincerely looks as though he is contemplating the pros and cons of destroying the Worldstone. Also, because I absolutely love Tyrael and so anything with him is pure ecstasy. I chose #7 because it simply looks fantastic. There is so much detail and it seems to capture such a defining moment in this figures life.. I am not entirely sure what this picture is referring to, if anything, but I loved it. The artist took every aspect into consideration, I think.

I almost picked #4 just because it looks like one of his toe-claw-things looks like his schlong. keke.

hahaha. Yea #4's claw does look like a penis. i thought it was and was wondering if others thought the same.

Well put it in the fan art gallery now. i want to get a weekly post going about new fan art, as I've been doing about wallpapers, but lack of entries have made that difficult, thus far. Once the new main page layout is working a lot of new weekly feautres are going to start, and fan art will probably be one of them.

Cool. Thanks Flux. I'll have to finish it so ppl can see a final product. In all honesty I probably wouldn't have entered it cause I was already fortunate enough to win one of those Caption Contests here and I don't want to enter all the contests cause that isn't fair to others. I like for other people to get a chance to win fun stuff!

Maybe I can start doing fan art stuff like Hoyknight does with his Wallpapers.

I didn't say you'd have won the contest. Just that you should put it into the gallery.

Maybe I should make another folder for D3 fan art. or subfolder or something. not that fan art from d1 and d2 stuff isn't still welcome, but it might help encourage new work. Of course so would seeing more than 2 of the characters and a handful of the monsters in the game... But it'll be blizzcon time soon enough...
