Post here for world pvp!

I love pvp. I wouldn't play online games if it wasnt for the pvp, thats how I got into WoW. I would very much like if there was some OTHER kind of pvp besdes dull duels. World pvp would be amazing in diablo 3.

No because flying mounts and the outlands ruined world pvp in wow its done for. I mean being able to kill anyone at anytime outside of cities with minor penalties.

I might be wrong of course but not everyone who frequents diii.net has played WoW (I certainly haven't). What's world PvP then?

D3 has no persistent world. You have instances of games. Therefor there is no world pvp. If you enjoy world pvp I suggest to play a MMORPG.

Re: Post here for world pvp!

world pvp to me is pvp freedom. being able to kill anyone at any time with minor penalties wherever you want outside of safezones. The site you lnked me was games like capturing nodes, and holding them. thats not really world pvp. I just dont like the fact how the only pvp in diablo are duels. Its too dull, but that's just my opinion.

Assuming D3 resembles D2 in that regard, coop play would be totally killed by everyone being at risk of instant death from strangers at all times. It would be really bad for pub play.

Re: Post here for world pvp!

Diablo is an instanced game, WoW is a... well, big world full of players. Very different situations. Also, WoW dying has no penalty. Diablo dying is very nasty - you have to get your corpse and that's often hard to do with the PK'er standing over it and you having no gear... The situations are very different, and I don't want random PvP in my games, especially since I can't even chose a PvE server like people can in WoW.

lol. Tell that to the tanks who don't tank pugs because the repairbill is so freaking huge.
Oh and I guess you were never in the situation where your corpse is camped and the GY is camped, too?

But I agree. Either make a difference between PvE and PvP or protect PvErs against PKers.
