Another theory: Tyrael is now corrupted, but Heaven doesn't know about it. Then, he begins to lay siege upon Sanctuary and Hell. So, in order to kill Tyrael and restate Heaven, you ally with Diablo, Mephisto and Baal in a Blood Truce with the deal:
- You help Hell and save it by killing Tyrael.
- Then, they will not lay immediate siege upon Heaven(unless, they sent Belial, Lord of LIES as a messenger and dealer)
- Then, in Diablo 14 you will be able to get DIRECTLY in the game, and then when your mother says "Dinner Time!", you come in the Kitchen with idk what Armor of Death full of blood and with a Healing Potion that has 99.9% alcohol... and with a dead zombie on your right hand, and one of his ears will fall in your soup... eww =S
Personally, I'm beginning to somewhat dislike the "Tyrael goes corrupted" theory already. It's a bit too obvious if you ask me, not to mention somewhat cliché (imo)... Furthermore, why would any human even bother with wanting to "stop" evil when not even an archangel of heaven (and a member of the Angiris council!) can resist its corrupting touch? (not considering Izual, because he was forcibly corrupted - not by free will as most Tyrael theories suggest).
In my opinion, the idea of Sanctuary allying with Hell (something I've come across a few times now) sounds ludicrous to me - but maybe that's just me. After all, hell is only bent on the total subjugation of Sanctuary, the enslavement of its inhabitants - should they live long enough for that to happen - and in general to wreak havoc, pain and destruction upon them, so an alliance makes perfect sense from the viewpoint of the humans of sanctuary (sarcasm). If that's not enough, I'm pretty sure neither Hell nor Heaven would like to see Sanctuary allied with the other one, and would rather see it destroyed than have that happen.
I see Tyrael being a rogue angel, aligning himself with Sanctuary in order to aid the mortals in fighting off both heaven and hell, much more viable than him becoming a fallen angel. I simply do not see him aligning himself with Hell. I'll grant that I've always been skeptical of his involvement within the saga, but I see him more in the role of attempting to help, but ultimately being short-sighted in regards to the ways he aids the mortals.
Yeah, hire him as a slave and let him die often.
Remember him:
"I thank you mortal, for my freedom. But I did expect you earlier."
Pfff what held Tyrael in that Tal Rasha-tomb anyway, why did he not just use a portal to get out?
