Question Attributes

Plz have attribute layout like wow meaning you don't adjust them, they are already set,and just increase, somthing like that...

Guild Wars Refund points
I plan my characters and if my attribute is'nt the same number i want,i'll remake the whole character over

Gamer just throwing in my 2$<----I'll pay 60$ for Diablo 3

Is there a monthly fee to Diablo 3?

Re: Attributes

I doubt the attribute distribution is set. That will render quite a bit of fun builds impossible to do. I liked my no-vit sorcs.

If Attriubutes are unset and not refundable , I will simply not play Diablo 3 or buy it for that matter

I was a big fan of d2 , unset and not refundable were the only issues I had with the game, back in the old days you could max 5 skills by the time you were 99,i planned every skill point...but who wants to meet the requirments for Grandfather sword or Windforce when they may never own 1

Sorry, I don't have any clue what you say here.
Attributes: Strength, Dexterity...
Skills: Frozen Orb, Revive, Shadow Clone...

By 99 you have maxed 5 skills, correct.
You don't have to use all attribute points the second you get them. My necro hasn't set most of his points. At lvl 25 or so he has like 100 unused Attribute points.

Re: Attributes

And another thing this stat discussion is just like the new potion system, the new dropped item, it makes it funner by the way it looks. its new implenention that makes remakes better than those that came before |Set Stats or Refundable|

Re: Attributes

why would you want to limit players in what they can create? in your system the sorcs would get mostly energy added to thier stats, i have made sorcs with out adding a single point to energy. your system would make the diablo franchise take one huge step backwards

Re: Attributes

Stats and skill choosing was a major factor in character and game diversity for Diablo 2. I would hate to see that go. Besides if you screw up your points there will be a respec option.

Worst idea ever. I hate how on a lot of games you can't assign your stats. Just makes characters too similar and gives players less options.

Re: Attributes

I think refundable points are the way to go.
Guild Wars has a somewhat similar points system and you can go from a smite monk to a heal monk to a protect monk in seconds with refundable points.

The one thing that really aggrevated me about D2 was the point system. Even if you put all the points in all the right places what if they nerf the build that you play as? Or what if you'd like to experiment with different builds? You'd have to start from scratch with a brand new character.

I just started playing again yesterday after taking a 3-year break. I got tired of re-rolling new chars because my previously-powerful main chars were nerfed into becoming lvl 90+ mules.

Diablo3 looks like a good game so far, but if it's a non-refundable point system I'm gonna pass.
