Statistics Tracking

This is not a new concept but I was thinking about what sort of things battlenet could track for your own account or even across the whole realm besides number of people logged that might actually be useful for Blizzard to make improvements, or just for us all to see how the game is being played so we can make pointless references to prove points during arguments .

E.g

1. Time spent: You could break this down into
- Total time spent playing
- Time spent in each act\location\difficulty
- Time spent retrieving corpse (if there is one to retreive)
- Times logged on\what time of the day you play

2. Character
-Total damage dealt

-Health|Mana lost
-Total deaths
-What enemie(s) killed you the most.
-What area(s) you died the most.
-Breakdown of what skills used as a %
-Games completed
-Games created\joined
-Quests found\completed

3. Monsters: Maybe include sub info like
-Total killed.
-Normal.
-Uniques.
-Bosses.

4. Items: Again we could break this down into item types like
-Total found.
-Magic.
-Uniques.
-Rares.
-Sets.
-Total magic find % (if it exists)

5. PVP
-Kills.
-What classes you killed the most.
-What classes killed you the most.

etc.

Ahhhh I can see it now. Hours of arguments about who is l33ter because you've killed 24 more sand maggots then someone else.

Re: Statistics Tracking

kills (acc+char+current game), time spent in games (acc+char+current game), games joined inc created (acc+char), deaths (acc+char+current game).

Those would be interesting and I imagine quite dooable. Something basic along the lines of -

"/deaths"
"<char name> has died <deaths in game> times in this game out of a total of <total char deaths> deaths."

Re: Statistics Tracking

Hell, i remember a couple of years ago on the Phrozon keep forums they had worked out a way to show kill statistics in game, it would be very possible for them to do it from the word go in Diablo 3.

Re: Statistics Tracking

Valve does this with TF2. It would be cool to have, but not necessary.

Re: Statistics Tracking
