This looks like a concept art image, which makes this extremely hard to say that this will be in the final game.

Though i would find it very cool that the Barb would get extra damage (vrs. other characters) when using no weapons.

IMHO, I think it would be odd to have a barbarian with claws... Just doesn't really seem to fit the character..

The barbarian doesn't need little pin pricks coming off his fingers, not when there are giant hammers and axes he can use.

Even though there's a possibility that they could be used anyway. Believe me, they certainly aren't my first choice as weapons. But I could possibly see them as some sort of unarmed melee attack. Since the Barbarian will be the strongest character in D3, then it doesn't seem like there would be anything wrong with having something extra. But the look does seem just a little odd.

Then again, it might just be for show. Which is certainly a possibility.
