We know the Barbarian and Witch Doctor are in... who's left? Vote for the characters you think will be in D3. You can vote for as many as you like, but ideally you'll be brave and pick 3 and only 3.
I pulled together the most popular char options I saw in various posts, and generalized some. Pick the choices that are closest to what you think; try not to get lost in hair-splitting minor points, or we'll never get any sort of consensus.
yeah, there's a weird bug with votes in the forum where it pops you to another random poll when you vote. it's been on the known bugs list for a while, so hopefully with the next software update they'll fix that at last.
I just wanted to say I voted for paladin but I dont think he'll make the return in the same form as he was in the game before, and I certainly don't think he'll be a healer by any shape or form. More a holy skill user, monster debuffer (via auras) and party buffer (via spells)
i would be interested in seeing a poll with the same options, but instead of which 3 character types you think are going to make it, you vote for which 3 character types you would most like to make it.
I would be interested in a rogue/ninja style character making an appearance; obviously he would have to be significantly different from the assassin of D2: LOD, maybe a stealthy, more tactical type of fighter armed with utilities (blinding powder, knives, etc.) I really hope there's going to be a character with some proficiency in knives, because I loved playing a throw barb back in the day, and would like to see throwing weapons having some use in D3.
I think it's also a given that Blizzard will throw in a mage character, but I hope they stay true to their promise of building newer, uncoventional archetypes and give the mage a different focus then elemental magic.

i actually debated on which question I was going to ask in this vote. predict vs. desired. thought i'd see how people commented on this one and then possibly refine the char descriptions and run that other one. we'll start running votes on the main page pretty soon, and might reuse these topics at that point.
The problem with the "who you want to see" question is that everyone wants something slightly different, so getting vote options that people will click on could be tricky? For instance, I'm very intersted in a ranged attacking character, but I don't really want one with stealth skills. I want to be fast and hit from many angles and confuse the enemies and use distractions and such. Other players want their archer char to have a mega tank like the valkyrie. Others want invisibility and hiding abilities. Other want to add elemental damage to the arrows. Etc. Would we all agree to click the "ranged attacker" option? Would that be a fair option to have, if we all disagree so much on the particulars?
My guess is a Mage/pure magic user, a Monk/healer type character with [limited] offensive capabilities, and a Rogue/Archer class that can use traps/stealth type skills. I think that they will for sure have some sort of ranged class, and I think that a Rogue would be a fun class to play.

Question: So you think they will make a character like a healer that is just a sitting duck on its own and the only use is to help others in groups?? I think that would be stupid of them, cause it would be a waste of a character in its own
I voted for Mage/Ranger/Monk. I think the mage is self explanatory, I decided that a Ranger who specialises in Bows and Daggers makes more sense (to me) then someone that specialises in Bows and heavy two handed weapons like spears/Javelins. The third was a toss up but I decided monk (mainly because I want that) though I can see the potential for Monk/battlemage/pladin/kinght types.
