...but I find the Witch Doctor to be pretty creepy. He's got a mean look on his face as if he knows a lot of ways to torture and/or kill anything that crosses his path. He's hunched over, decked out in bones and skulls and feathers from god knows what kind of animals and he can spew flesh-eating locusts that devour demons in seconds.
Considering in real life Witchdoctors actually do the work of Demons, it makes zero sense to have a witchdoctor as a character battling demons in Diablo3. At least the necromancer had control of the underworld, whereas the Witchdoctor is just a pawn in the real world.
I was looking at the classes page, on the D3 site. When you click him, and he walks up, it almost looks like he has Parkinsons's Disease, or some kind of mental instability trying to escape.

by saying there are Real Life WD's serving demons, you imply there are real demons, then go on to say a game makes zero sense.... *pff*
"The witch doctor, on the other hand, seems to be more of a caster with a pet-control ability. Jay Wilson, a lead designer on Diablo III, said the witch doctor is not a replacement for Diablo II's necromancer."

Really? Folklore holds that witch doctors in England in the late nineteenth century actually exorcised evil spirits, and in southern Africa (in Zulu communities for example) they are traditionally healers and counselors that aid ailing mind, bodies, souls, and even communities.

Eh, he isn't old and pasty and doesn't have a mullet; that's enough for me.
