Too much concern with colors

From what I've seen, D3 looks pretty good so far...yeah there's that whole thing that makes it seem a bit too much bright and cartoonish, but who knows what will happen later on in the game due to the story. What we've seen so far could just be part of the story in the beginning and later fire falls from the heavens or whatever. It could be that blizzard did this on purpose to create a greater difference and dramatization for the plot later on in the game. Not to mention, there's still around 1 1/2 to 2 years before it will go on sale. Plenty of hope for better.

This will be the 1st game I pre-order.

im sure the deeper you get into the dungeons the more hellish it will feel other than that outside and stuff will probably be normal and realistic and maybe at night all hell will break loose again

Re: Too much concern with colors

I think a big part that many people are missing is, we can pretty much be sure this is the beginning of the game. For starters, I doubt Blizzard would want to reveal deep parts of the game in a game play video as they want to leave that kind of stuff for the fans to explore on their own, at least that is how I feel.

But the main thing pointing towards this only being the beginning, is the items that dropped. Sure all we have to compare this with is the old games but, my guess is that the minor health pots, chipped topaz, small amounts of gold, all point to the fact that this is very early in the game and hence may warrant being a bit brighter.

That's exactly what I was thinking. From seeing the video, I also got the feeling that they just ran high level chars through the beginning which would explain the 1 hit kills. By what I saw from both the barb and witch doctor, I doubt we'll have any or most of those major skills used in combat at that point in the game.

Re: Too much concern with colors

Oh I'm sure they had higher level characters going through this than we will at this point. The video was 20 or so as was, imagine if they had to sit there and hack away at all those monsters . Also, I watched the video again and it does get more grim as it progresses outside. Maybe it's coincidence with the weather but, it certainly is darker as they progress.

I guess I just feel like Blizzard will do Diablo justice, they have given us no reason not to think so in the past. This being said, I still hope everyone will continue to voice their opinion. It's possible this was just coincidence with the weather and something does need to be fixed, either way, it's best if Blizzard knows exactly what we want .

Don't pre-order. I did that with D2 and got it a week late. Just queue outside a game store the morning they have it.
