I'd just like to note first that I don't own any of the latest consoles. Purely from a curiosty stand point I can't grasp why Blizzard don't deliever for this marketplace. Diablo 1 ran just fine of the Playstation, loading was a bit slower. If I recall correctly Warcraft was also released on the Playstation. So what has changed? Did they have a bad experience somewhere?
Your thoughts. Would you like to see D3 on a Xbox 360 or Xbox3 or Playstation 3? Can it be done, would you play D2LOD on a Xbox or PS2?
as someone who doesn't, and doesn't want to, own any consoles, i think there is some use in creating games for the PC
i.e. as an adult i own a PC to do work on, and then i can also use it for games.
A console I would end up buying for two games (say Diablo and Final Fantasy), probably because i'm old and just relive my youth through old video game franchises.
Does the internet connexions for PSIII and XBOX360 work well? I'm so old school it hurts.
It still seems that the layout of Diablo II (all the short cuts on the keyboard and the use of the mouse) begs for a PC, and Diablo III probably will too.
I think it would make sense to make it work on both a PC and a console. PC games are ruined by piracy, something consoles suffer less from. And, with millions of people having a console, why not?
I would completely buy it got the PS3 if DIII or something came out for console. The PS3 is a computer now anyway, you can load operating sysytems on it, sure, its a little low on RAM, but im sure there's something out there that could raise that up a bit. it also has 4 usb ports (80gb version) so you could hook up a mouse and keyboard if wanting to. It would open the game up to so many more people who dont play PC games.
i agree with paradox. its a point and click style game, and should remain that way. it would be near impossible to implement a different control system for a console, especially one that would make it fair to play online vs pc users, and vice versa. besides, everyone and their dog has a pc or laptop, theres no need to release it on a console too.
Pc is the way diablo should be played, i for one will not touch a diablo game on a console. consoles are great for shooters and car games, games like this is in my eyes pc only.
