Matt Uelmen and Wagner

I hope he did the Diablo 3 soundtrack before he left Blizzard.

Diablo 2 has the best soundtrack ever in a game. I rate The Burning Crusade the 2nd best.

At least this rumor from the Diablo 3 infopage says Uelman is in and the soundtrack was already done in 2005:

I find interesting this musician from the orchestra compares Uelman's music to Wagners.

Maybe i shoud go and listen to some Wagner and see if i can find the similarities.

"Die Walküre" ("The Valkyrie") is a timeless classic, it's pretty dark-ish, so the comparison isn't farfetched, hey, Wagner's piece is even named after a Diablo II creature, or was it the other way around? =)

Its hard for me to take game soundtracks seriously. However the original diablo tristram song is amazing in its own right.

the redux version of "tristram" used with the PC's brief encounter back to tristram in d2 is EVEN better.
