So this might seem off topic at first, but it gets to the point.
So i went to a Game Crazy/Gamestop/EB Games, forget which one... but anyways i went there and bought Command And Conquer for my 360. Dude at the counter laughed at me and said, "You cant buy that game for a consle."
I could care less about his opinion on whether i can, or cannot play a RTS game on a consle, but its when I said, "I cant wait for Starcraft 2 to come out."
Thats when he got me pissed. He said, "Blizzard is never gonna come out with Starcraft 2," and he went on about Diablo 3 as well, "You could count on the world ending before they come out with Diablo 3....... Starcraft 2 is farther along than Diablo 3, and with Bush still in presidency for a while, you can bet the world will end in a holocaust before he gets out of office..."
I gave him the stink eye and left with my game....
I always buy my games from newegg, but if I'm forced to hit up EB for dirt cheap used games, the cashiers are always overly friendly.. never rude like that. They're supposed to push their overpriced semi-used "new" games, not harass you about blizzard.
I asked if Castlevania: Curse of Darkness was a good game, and the guy said "Yeah man, its Castlevania, its great."
"But, then why are there so many in the used bin?"
[attitude]Because we're just overstocked on the game no one is buying it.[/attitude]
And yeah he was basically lying to me. Its a pos game, nothing compared to symphony of the night or anything cool like that.
Ah well, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, and they're not going to fool me twice. I'll just read the review before I waste money on their lying store clerks.
Haha, I would never trust store clerks. I work at a blockbuster and our main focus is trying to sell used movies and games. I usually just make things up to make them sound appealing.
It's been a long time since I've shopped at EB but I had similar experiences. There was a puzzle game that was coming out and I called them to see if they had it and they go on the phone literally said the game sounds stupid based just on the title.
