things to look for if D3 is actually coming out...

first go find out if blizzard has any names recently copyrighted. that's one of the ways we knew all about WOW wrath of the lich king before it was announced(like months before)

also check for websites from blizzard. sometimes they don't pop up but with wow:wotlk their site gave a dns error then it would show it had errors displaying the site(as in it existed but nothin was being shown) and then as soon as the expansion was announced the website came up.

look for games being rated by the ESRB. probably won't happen with D3 but occasionally a game that isn't annouced will go to the ESRB for ratings before they announce it and you can find out aheda of time about a game.

It's not law, but not having a game rated in the U.S. would be a financial disaster. Also, there's nothing to suggest they are working on an expansion of D2. Such would be a completely unprecedented, and horrible, idea.
