In case you hadn't seen this...

Just like everyone else, I too am excited about the prospect of DIII and also a bit skeptical. I went to blizzard.com to snoop for any information related to this "rumor" and found a who bunch of job listings for a "Top Secret" project. Check it out here. Take note that the jobs related to WoW and Starcraft II are labeled as such. Blizzard is up to something, even if is not DIII.

Re: In case you hadn't seen this...

I saw something about them hiring a guy to work on b.net, for, and I quote, "World of Warcraft and the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo franchises."

EDIT: Then there is this:
Quote:
The team behind Diablo I and II is looking for a skilled lead 3D level designer with experience building levels using Maya or other similar 3D level building tools. The ideal candidate has experience creating levels in a senior or lead role on a shipped game. We would also like for this candidate to have excellent analytical understanding of competitive online play with various Blizzard Entertainment games and mods (real-time strategy, World of Warcraft, Defense of the Ancients, etc.). The lead level designer needs to be able to create fun and interesting environments that look and play great while managing and mentoring a team of additional level designers
Great find!

An announcement only means that they plan on making it. When they would actually release it... well, that's anyone's guess.

Re: In case you hadn't seen this...

Well, not quite. An announcement can mean that, but I've seen some times when the game has been in development for some time. For example, GHIV is most assuredly in development, given that at least one band has confirmed that they are in it, but there has been no official announcement yet.

I don't mean to say you are wrong, just getting my hopes up that they want to release it when they have some gameplay videos to show or something.

Re: In case you hadn't seen this...

My current game that I have been playing nonstop is rainbow6 vagus2. They anoused it, set a date, and then made it ontime. The problem with that is I found that the bugs in the game are annoying. But even still those bugs didnt take away from the fun that the game dishs out. Also now that I am thinking about it. I have waited alot longer for fallout3..

So basicly if it takes blizzard 20 more years to come out with diablo3. Ill be ok with it as long as they get it right.
