Do you want it to be an MMORPG?

...because I would hate it to be. I played WoW, got horribly addicted, managed to quit. Last thing I want it D3 jumping on the "lets get lots of users and a subscription fee" train.

Opinions?

If D3 is 3D and a MMORPG Then it's no longer Diablo...

Actually, that's pretty well stated. Though I thought Diablo per definition IS a MMORPG.

They should only make some new skills to create more builds so the pvp is more various the camera should be zoomed out there should be something higher then hell and there should be act 6. Also it would be really cool if they add 2 classes that are BALANCED versus other classes.

Pretty early to be judging the quality of a potential MMO D3..Blizzard is very good at making games, they could make it work.

CursedYew- Uh, do you envision D3 to be D2 with extra content? If it ever comes out, it's going to be a new game from scratch, just as D1 to D2 was.

i proly would not see it being a nice game if it is yet another 3d mmorpg. only reason I am sticking to D2 is its various items, fun builds, and fast environment. i am yet to find a fast paced mmorpg. (real time battle in wow....just don't make to u say wow does it?)

You make it sound like D3 will be another expansion for D2 :smiley: As said above IF it does come out there will be no current act 1-5 i hope the game isn't going to be anything like as linear as it is atm (quest wise).

Kind of, the way I see it is if you have the large number of people interacting within the game, that's an MMORPG. However, in D2's case you have a large number of people interacting outside games and a small (tiny) number inside games. So it isn't a true MMORPG, as we know them.

This may be different from the actual definition.
