No, I'm not sending beer to people who join in but I've MPd with a few people who like to meander around, make sure they get every WP, do every quest and generally play as if they have a beer in one hand and the mouse in the other.
The sort of MP session that takes at least three hours to get out of act 1 normal. Not just following the road and hitting the waypoints and ignoring the unecessary quests.
Would anyone be interested in this? Untwinked, trundling?
Hardcore, softcore, vanilla or modded is up for discussion, just the actual playstyle I'm putting out there at the moment.

id like to join an untwinked HC party doing full clears, taking time for shopping and gambling as we go. i am not online as much as id like though and the time difference we all have has caused me to miss past HC starts. if i am around and if i see a game starting i would join.

I would prefer SC though since I have tendency for stupid moves...
(RRM/RWM too, go go Insight/Spirit, etc...)
Full clears and shopping/gambling breaks and generally slow game pace suits for me also.

Sure, we al do stupid moves. Maybe SC is good so that noone will drop out because of some stupidity.
Some hints about builds:
Since I don't MP much and sometimes don't have the patience to build strange builds this might be the opportunity to do so. I'm thinking about the following builds:
* Cleric (To heal you all and gieb gg auras.)
* Curser (Yes, like a sailor/pirate and maybe with some golem.)
* Windy (Not that strange but still...)

well, for trading i am (draws breath) [1.07, 1.10, 1.11 rwm (installed) rrm (taint)]
however.. if we are starting new HC untwinked chrs then all i have to do is click on the old shortcut to make any new untwinked chrs vanilla. i am happy to go with the host on this.
as for weekends, thats no good at all for me and this has always been the trouble with trying to organize these sorts of games.

Yeah, there's always the same issues - different timezones, some people have family to take care of, work, etc... but well just have to try and arrange some time that would suit for most people.
Personally I could be able to play almost every evening, but there will be days when I can't play at all...
If this plan goes forward I would like to propose arranging those sessions via MSN or such to make arrangements much faster...

Actually I don't mind HC that much as it would be nice introduction to that side of Diablo 2, but lots of people MP:ing -> lag + tough monster mob + HC =
But if you decide to go HC I would be still interested :smiley:
He, that is actually the way I usually play the game, al least in Normal and Nightmare. So if you go softcore I'd love to join you with my barbarian. Fridays and Sundays afternoons and evenings are good to me(Central Europe time).
Ok guys, this is looking good. It doesn't matter if we don't all play together but I fancied a slow, chilled MP experience, rather than a "everyone wanders off separately, runs up the path, hits the waypoints and gets to Act 5 in 30mins". Doesn't really matter if three of us play HC in one game and four in SC or something. Let's see how the majority pans out. Gieb info please:
