Best Pubby Dueler?

I'm wondering what the best overall pubby dueler is. Now keep in mind some factors of pubbies:

If you have anything over 1000 gold, they will steal it.

They will nk, they will not let you bo unless you teleport to Pit Level 2.

Some hide by tp's.

Most Importantly: There will be many 2v1, 3v1, 4v1, and people attacking you RIGHT after your done dueling another char, whether you have 30 life or 3000 life left.


I've had experience in pubby dueling (mainly with casters), and low life caster chars are sub-optimal at "owning" the entire pubby game (bone necro, sorc), as one hit usually requires a trip to akara.

So I'm guessing this char would be some sort of barb/pally, as their tanking ability is far greater than any other character (ok wind druid has a buttload of life too, but kill their sage (not hard), and there goes 3k life).

Any suggestions? maybe: mage pally? (hammer + foh) bvc barb?

bvc (a team of aa zons can be painful), windy(however u'll have trouble against any trapper that mbs), bone necro,(watch out for aa blizz, windy etc), es sorcs (absorb > you), trapper(same as sorc), pally builds(easy to stay alive but hard to catch runners) zons are good in teams only but not in 1on1 or 1 vs x.

BvC. If they bring the fight to you, you'll be fine. The only thing that should be a problem is lucky/AA zons...but that's why there's houses and bushes to hide in

es sorc and a backup barb to deal with terrible absorbers

Es blizz sorcs usually destroy pubs. Bvc barbs are hawt too.

Also, noob question: what do bvc barbs use in their inventory? max/ar/life gc's?

trappers get absorbed so often it's not even funny. not to mention i find them pretty easy even with just 75% res no absorb.

Ya, max/ar/life scs is the way to go, with life being the most important mod.

What about godly 11k trapsins (With dual +3 trap +3 light sentry claws, 10 trap gc's with mods, and hitting the 65% fcr breakpoint)? those seem hard to absorb well, and if someone has that much on, it seems like others will kill him easily because he sacrifices too much gear.

So with the godliest gear, would a bvc barb still be more effective than the trapsin?

dysnech hammerdin XD with no combat charms u can hit 10k hammers so u can fill ure inv with life /res sc's and get mucho life bvc barbs are great too only rly though fight u will have is summoners and dysnech hdins
