Question to you superb zealers

I was wondering what kind of gear a zealer needs? I also wonder do they ACTUALLY need 20 zeal and 20 sacrafice?

Since after zeal gets the max number of hits (5) the damage only increases slightly per level so I really don't see the point in it while you could be spending those points on an aura..

So I need to know the following;

Zealer Gear;
Zealer Stat Distribution;
Zealer Aura;

Help if you can.

Oh dear someone deleted like 20 posts, anyways, this will be all PVP low level.

Here is what I am thinking;

Zeal + Holy Freeze.

I am not a superb fan of holy freeze because it's damage won't do diddly to a person with good cold resists.

HOWEVER.

It freezes ANYBODY regardless of if they are wearing death sash or hawk, whatever it may be. By level 12 any enemy will be slowed by 50%.

So that means pesky running sorcs and even a few tough ww barbs will get so slowed that I just swoop in and wallop them with a few hits.

Basically I will need;

1 Might
1 Holy Fire
12 holy freeze

? Sacrafice
? Zeal

? Resist cold (Holy freeze prerequisit)

Gear;

30 IAS battlehammer
Sigon Shield
Sigon Boots
Death hand
Death sash
Angelics Rings
Angelic Ammy
Angelic Mantle

Taking this char to lvl 26.

=-EDIT-=

I will also be using a 3 sock mask with p ama (+30 str)

My max str will be 100 for the battlehammer.

I ALSO have the choice of a silks, 100 str requirements, +1 to skill like angelic mantle, HOWEVER with silks I do not get 50 fire res, and only gain about 200 defence from Angelics.

Just an idea I was throwing around. You'd have max slow, but the additional slow from Holy Freeze was just a bonus; I really like the amount of damage it gives. Of course, with a flail, you might as well just go for max damage all the way, and use Holy Shock. But the slow from the radius is nice, and something General's does not give.

A zealer with holy freeze low lvl is an interesting idea, and may work well vs other melee chars, but a sorc with blizz, necro with spear, paladin useing charge, and a barbarian useing leap attack to some extent will all give you trouble if not beat you out right.

Cerebrus, do you mind if I completely copy that character guide? I have like all of those items except for steelclash which I can get soon.

It's a very intelligent idea, most thanks.

I have a pretty effective lld zealer based on all physical damage

It is complete at lvl 17, or 18 if u want to get concentrate

skills:

4 to zeal
1 point might (or conc if u go w/ lvl 18 build)
rest sacrifice

gear:

Clegaws sword: (50% ds, bonus to ar)
Clegaws shield: (15 res all partial bonus, +1.75 max damage to clegs per clvl)
Twitchthroe: (bonuses that are too good on a low lvl)
Deaths sash and gloves: (30 ias, cbf, resists)
Treads of cthon: (only boots that give 30 r/w at that lvl(you will need to chase down ur opponents to zeal)
Angelic rings and ammy (big ar, life, dex, dtm)
Duskdeep full helm: (+max damage, resists, damage reduction)

This build usually kills most chars around its lvl in a zeal cycle or 2

go alll vita w/ nuff strngth/// dex 4 gear

No problem, in fact I'd love to see if it works out. If you think the slow provided by General's isn't worth the minimum damage, you might want to try Cleglaw's Sword instead. That'd give you a lot more physical punch to it.
