As a Bowazon... dealing with charge.

I know you Bowazons out there feel my pain, there may not be many of you but I know there is some. How do you guys deal with charge as a Bowazon?

I'm trying to figure out a way to be able to beat a Charger, they simply mop the floor with me. No matter how many arrows I shoot they end up blocking a lot of them... I'm thinking of using Cleglaws here in a minute. I'm not even sure if slow works in PvP anymore?

Anyways if anyone could provide strategies as to how to defeat Chargers as a Bowazon I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

This is one of the most unfair matchups. I think this strategy should work 100% of the time "SAVE&EXIT"

I'd recommend something like Eth-titans/Shael-SS on switch. With this combination, you can switch to melee to help with blocking. One point is sufficient into Jab when you really can't escape and must melee.

Due to the de-sync problem with Charge, you'll want to press switch immediately upon Chargers getting within your screen. Also, don't run, instead walk. This will help with your blocking with T/SS. Find yourself a spot around water puddles to help break up charges.

Another strategy that may work is simply to stack frw and out run Vigor Charge which is vearly impossible.

Slow works in PVP. Instead of Clegaws, try crafting a pair of gloves with Knockback, 20ias, +skills. People will complain about slow, so you'll have to deal with that, but it shouldn't matter. I'm assuming this is pubby, so go ahead and stack some slow if youw ant.

Thanks for the advice Lyrs , right now I have a CTA and Stormshield on switch, I usually switch to it, but even if they get close, I don't have much of a chance if I were to switch to my only line of offense anyway (Bow).

I think I might just stay away from Chargers. Do you have any advice on WWsins/Kicksins/Trapsins?

They can be quite the pain.

Kill them before they come in to your screen

Stand up against a wall then they only have one chance to hit you, and then just Jab them to death.. unless they use zeal :]

I am experienced with zons but their is nothing u can do against a godly charger. The thing i find easiest to shake most chargers with is unexpected lf or guided while they charging and switch and lf when they get to you unless they use lightning resist gear.

ok,
you have to get far away from where they start out the duel. try and hit them wif ga but throwing in multis aswell hopefully your open wounds kicks in and you deadly/crticial strike a lot

next as soon as they are close enough to charge you if they are godly, chances are your dead but you might aswell try and live so switch to sheild/titans and try and jab them. hopefully again you get alot of deadly/critical strikes and hope they miss you due to low ar/your passives.

DONT run near to ponds those desynch you like no other :cheesy:

there is no point trying to get away from a charger so when they get to you, stay on the offensive until they ( maybe ) will charge away to start up a new offensive. switch to bow quickly and namelock them. not releasing this until the last minute where they are in close to you. if you have knockback this match is a bit evened up

hope this sort of helps, remember we can't really do ANYthing about charges
peace.

ps:wf helps.. ALOT
pps:hope he doesnt have doom RW -.-

I duel a lvl 93 zealot vs all vita build (some extra points into charge for ranged). I've been dueling everyday at least 3 hours a day for the last year since the character has been created. I have NEVER, EVER, in the entire span of a year had a bowazon kill me in 1vs1 dueling (rarely in public games too)....the disadvantage for guided vs charge is simply too high. stacked dr, 75% block, some fr/w, and extremely high dmg zeal and charge make for a devastating opponent that can be right next to you in matter of secs destroying the advantage of guided’s ranged attack (not to mention enigma). If the zon runs charge can simply chase them down where they lose 75% block for running or if they stand still the enormous zeal dmg and 4 frame attack crushes them. It seems the battle is fairly hopeless……..but I have noticed the zons chances increase if she can get a shooting start (not that the arrows aren’t ez to avoid if you shift + charge run), uses KB, slow and most important………WALK do not run….walking allows your block to be 75%. But 99% of the time your fukced……..if the pally is good no matter how skilled the zon.

and pressing shift + charge can outrun guided (at least on my pally)
