I'm here to complain about open wounds in BvB.
I mean it's so patheticly stupid, even if you miss you your opponents life starts to drop.
I've dueled barbs who never hit me and I start to lose life for no reason... but then I remember OW, the only OW I get is from my gores. Now a little bit of OW isn't bad, but stacking up huge amounts of OW is BM.
And most Barbs I duel never even hit me...... but I still end up losing due to OW. It just make's me feel insuperier to them, which isn't even true cause they aren't even hitting me.
And without steelrends I can't use my eth steel carapace. So I can't switch to draculs or anything to match them either, with there OW.
I consider OW to be a big advantage for the user expscially when stacked, so whats your opinion BM or not?
I agree with you; little OW is fine, huge amounts is no-no.
If you want to fight lame with lame, make Malice (IthElEth), that's 100% OW. Tho you prolly need str from your weapon (have a feeling you have BotD) to wear your armor. You could switch armor as it seems high def doesn't help you against OW-lamers.

open wounds? eh, i'd worry about 8-11k whirl used in conjunction with lifetap charges (wich i am prone to doing. i know its bm but :o ) more than i would about 1.5k(?) hp/8 seconds. so uh, no open wounds is not bm imo.

How can you get open wound without being hit?
If you have bad connection, you should beg your opponent to use poison damage so that you can tell when you get hit. I know you don't like open wound. But you shouldn't say things that aren't true to make your case.
You can be affected by open wounds without being hit. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if Blizzard intended it to be this way, but it happens.
I do not think OW is bad manners, however. If you lose a duel to someone who affected you with Open Wounds and NOTHING ELSE, that should tell you something. Might as well say he hit you and you died, and it's unfair and you feel inferior to him.

This isn't true. Try to use malice with the lowest AR possible and a poison charm as marker. Duel or Test versus a really high defense target and post what you find here.
No OW does affect you without being hit, when you are hit you will hear the hitting noise. Also you would notice your health jump down a bit when your hit, but this is not the case my life just starts to go down as usual and then I end up dying.
I'm also not on a slow connection I'm on 512, and also you can even be affected by OW when you block. Me n a few friends have tested it many times, so OW can affect you even when your not hit and when you block.

1.5k dmg is more then enough for 8 seconds seeing as it can't be resisted against, where as poison can.

What hitting sounds do you expect to hear when both are in Whirlwind and no elemental damages are used? Can you notice to see a jump in health if your open-wound opponent is doing less than 50 pvp/contact damage and you have over 5k life?
Btw, did you try the test on my previous post? and be honest about the results.
(I never tested this OW extensively. But I think I dueled my friends's barbs enough to know that OW only activates whenever I get hit)
