smite / stun - what does it do?

This question just popped into my head, when you smite someone and they get stunned, what does that do? Also when lister stuns you does that do the same? can there be different types of stun? because when barbs use zerk theyre stun lowers defense, but smites doesnt do that, anyone know what it does?

when they have those swirlings on their heads, which can be triggered by MB, Smite, Shockwave, etc and getting attacked by WoF, Hydra, Blizzard, etc. they will perform a Hit Recovery animation.

when you have the stun "swirlies" over your head from smite, mindblast, etc, damage of any amount from any source will trigger hit recovery

it has to take at least 1/12 of your life to do hit recovery.

not when you have swirlies. that hasn't changed from 09 - otherwise trappers wouldn't be able to lock wind druids or anyone with decent resist, v/t's wouldn't be able to do their smite then foh for stun trick against lr stackers, etc.

Stunned is when you have the swirlies. When you are hit while stunned you go into hit recovery.
