[color=white]I'm pretty sure that Civerb's Ward is the shield...regardless, that sounds pretty neat, I'm gonna see if I can reproduce the same effect. If I am able to, I will immediately begin figuring out how I can use this minor glitch to give my frenzy barb two Grandfather swords...:scratch: [/color]
[color=#ffffff]Speaking of set bugs... here's one for you:[/color]
[color=#ffffff]Apparently, some bizarre conditions have been met through which the IK armor on my barbarian is not animated on other peoples' screens. I have the complete set and apparently all other set piece animations as well as the complete set aura are visible. Oddly enough, it appears just fine on my own screen, which led to some confusion over the first couple weeks of my use of the set:[/color]
[color=#ffffff] I was stoked when I found the IK armor (Pit run). After donning the complete set it never failed...atleast 2 people in any room I joined would gasp and ask what set I was wearin...my ego ballooned somewhat at the obvious amazement my IK aura commanded. [/color]
[color=#ffffff] Almost three weeks passed with people being blown away by my oft-sought after armor.[/color]
[color=#ffffff] But when another barbarian wearing the same set asked "What set are you wearing?", it became apparent something was wrong.[/color]
[color=#ffffff] Was it a rhetorical question or was I entering into an exchange with a complete dunderhead...[/color]
[color=#ffffff] I answered: 'Hmmmm....I wonder....'[/color]
[color=#ffffff] He responded, 'You have IK maul....what set???'[/color]
[color=white] And with that I began to unravel the mystery of why everyone seemed to be so 'impressed' with my armor all the time...[/color]
[color=#ffffff]For three looooong weeks I had bolstered my own ego with the marvel of others...for, you see, o[/color][color=#ffffff]n my screen, I appeared the valiant knight in shining armor (literally), courageously sprinting into the fray of Baal's minions with no concern for my own well-being...and emerging the victor with not a scrape on the steel of my faithful armor.[/color]
[color=#ffffff]But my head was brought quickly...nay, ripped violently back to earth...[/color]
[color=#ffffff]I listened in horror as it was explained to me that others were treated to a slightly different version of what I was seeing....[/color]
[color=#ffffff]It seemed that for three looooong weeks, on everyone elses' screens, I appeared to be a buffoon in his skivvies (literally), ignorantly sprinting into the fray of Baal's minions with no concern for my own dignity...and emerging the weirdo with not a scrape on the flesh of my barenaked bum.[/color]
[color=#ffffff]I still have not figured out whether people asked what set I was wearing because they were bewildered at the concept of a guy battling in his jockeys or they were bewildered at the thought of being able to get the IK set aura without the complete set on....[/color]
[color=#ffffff]Either way, I've managed to ease the painful blow dealt to my ego a couple weeks ago...when the question is asked of me now, I get people's respect by telling them I'm a Blizzard beta tester for the 1.11 patch and I'm testing out the new 'Barenaked Barb' set...Gets 'em every time :winner:[/color]
[color=#ffffff]Basically, the cause of the glitch is a mystery but I do have a theory...in order to actually wear the IK armor (or equip the Maul for that matter), I first must adorn all the other pieces of the set. Otherwise, I don't meet the strength requirement (gloves and belt add 45 to strength). If I remove the gloves (or belt), the armor is no longer animated on my screen either, even though I am technically still wearing it (on a [color=red]red[/color][color=white] background in my inventory, of course). I can't really account for the aura, but then, that's why glitches are glitches...[/color][/color]
[color=#ffffff]Just to narrow down the possibilities of it's cause, I had my roommate put the set on his concentrate barb...it was visible on his screen and everyone else's who we asked (if anyone reading this was wondering why a stranger was asking if they saw him naked or not, now you should be able to sleep easier...)[/color]
