Are 1-skill-point Golem Worth it?

I don't know if here the posts were deleted, or the question got never answered. Here is my opinion:
it'd cost tons of mana to constantly recast the golem, but in 1.12 I used clay (the skill was given by an item) with conjunction of Iron Maiden and on normal I did kill Diablo with it. With enough patient the biggest guy can beat itself to death with the above. And for a temporal diversion it can be great too (like holding up an extrafast horde in your trace).

So yes, they'd worth it.
