need some advice on socketing my viper 34

Hi all..

Just got my hands on this lovely thing today.. Finally I can replace my viper 31, with something a little closer to perfect

I'm just not too sure about what I should socket it with.. My viper 31 was socketed with a perf ruby to boost life (keep in mind that I play hardcore, and therefor I dont use ES, so life is pretty much the thing I value the most except for resist), but I'm not too sure about what I should do with this one... I have a +11 all res jewel that i'm considering, but should I wait 'till I get a jewel with +all res and extra mods?

With spirit shield, my resist looks like this in hell: (when i'm wearing my viper 31)

psn light cold fire
75 75 74 41

As I'm writing this, I see another option pop up.. why dont I just socket it with a +fire res jewel with extra mods? hmm.. I prolly won't be able to trade it again, tho? I have most of the gear I need. Only thing is that I might switch out my tal amu with maras if I ever get one, but then I'll be lacking cold res? (well, unless I can get my hands on a perf hoto instead of my current one with 37 res?)

Bah, this is confusing. If some one can help me out here, or atleast enlighten me in some way, feel free to do so. Since most casters use spirit shield, I'm most likely not the first one that has been facing this problem!

usually putting UM in nice vipers, so perfict vipers would get +50 res in your case it would be only 49.

*edit: you also might socket vipers with pruby for health, p topaz for mf, jah for 50 hp, ber for some dr, gul for 5% more mana ( you said you aint es, so ignore this one ) you might also like to put in there shael for fhr lo lum ko fal if you got any stats problems.

Fire res jewel with extra mods would be my pick. Or a Ral is you can't find a nice jewel.

Resale value isn't a issue, since there is a big price gap between a 34 and a 35 one, so you're better off using it yourself.
