"real" and "pre-season" don't belong in the same sentence, wake me up when the games count

They are also the Super-bowl winners of last year so not a bad pick

I will go down in flames with my Bears. Cut-piece threw an interception in the 1st quarter. They gave him one more drive they yanked him like an old lawnmower. So much for getting used to a new complicated offense. <Sigh>

Well give him a bit of credit for hanging in there for all those years with no offensive line to protect him. I guess since he was under contract he had to hang in there. But the guy has got beat up for so long I don't blame him for hurrying throws or throwing into traffic. Supposedly the line is supposed to be a little better this year so we'll see how many sacks he has to endure.

I too, will stick with the Bears again. I have lived in Chicago all my life so rooting for another team is like rooting for the White Sox...pointless.

It's true. Not his fault last year. but now he's learning another offensive scheme that we don't have the personnel to implement. At least we brought in someone else who can catch. last year it was all BM in triple coverage, and i think Forte was the #2 receiver. It kinda sucks, this year I'll miss every other sunday for work, so I'll probably have to tape the games and watch them monday night or tuesday.

Try to not find out who won. I know that if I accidentally find out who won before watching it on my DVR, I won't watch it.

Regarding Cutler, last year of his contract. Both parties agree to wait until after the season to discuss an extension. If Cutler has a good year under this new offensive regime, his leverage will be palpable. He will most certainly shop himself. If the line lets him down again, no leverage. But if it's the latter, I fully expect him to go elsewhere rather than endure the beatings he has taken in his tenure with the Bears. That would leave the Bears with no QB for 2014/2015. The Bears have not prepared themselves for this possibility.
