My buddies started playing again so I logged in the other night. Apparently when I left I was trying out a throw-barb build. I'd rather not continue this.
Not quite sure where to head with my gear though now, since it's been awhile and I'm not sure what has changed. Can you all help me out?
I have a so-so Skorn in my stash as well, but looking to progress more towards the typical WW build.

I wrote a wall of text before reading the end of your post
The typical WW build normally involves high attack speed and high crit chance. If you want to do it with a Skorn, it will be harder due to the base speed of Skorn. If you Skorn had 11% Attack speed, it would be harder than 2 hands.
Looking at your skills and gear, maybe this modified WW build can be appealing for you (focuses on white mobs):
(same character, different gearing process/explanations)
Before AH crashed and burn, I reached the benchmarks with 5 piece IK with ~13 mi gold, winning auctions with bids (have in mind that he has plvl 100 and reaches over 50-60k life with an amethyst on helm)
